Thanks, Richard, I do visit the Museum every few years. If you could possibly do a walkabout and step inside Cambridge Horse-drawn tram no.7 & of you still have it? That historic Ipswich single decker trolleybus & film the interiors. 😊 That would be great. The single decker trolleybus, I believe was once owned by the East Anglia Transport Museum, of which I am a member. To see the interior layout of these vehicles & anything connected with Eastern Coachworks of Lowestoft that you have, especially inside the drivers cabs, would be spectacular. Thanks. Ps I find the kiddy play area a bit off putting regards my photography of the trams at the Ipswich Transport Museum. So of you see me at the Museum josseling with maybe 3 cameras 😂 lol, I'm trying to work out the best camera angle. Going on s bit now, sorry... you have a superb display of vehicles. I believe the Ipswich Trolleybus at Carlton Colville is on loan to us? I will have to send you a few pics of it in service over here. The EATM seem to rotate trolleybuses but ove caught it several times in action.

Thanks. I’ll see what I can get at the next event. Yes, Ipswich Trolleybus 105 is still at Lowestoft. I had some video of its first service runs since restoration, somewhere.

I know, i was just pulling your leg. Buses of a certain age before seat belts were introduced by law are actually legally exempt now on the road in 2024. Strange how the law hasn't been updated. Anyhow so wonderful to see your film footage. Me being a member of the East Anglia Transport Museum & the Fylde Tramway Society.(Blackpool).. i find your films just magical. I'm a tramway enthusiast coming from Fleetwood as a kid on the Fylde Coast... love the restoration projects that they have done at the Ipswich Transport Museum of Ipswich Electric tramcar 33 & Cambridge Horse Drawn no.7 (bought 3rd hand from Bath, then Bradford Tramways... or is it the other way around? Oh just to add... Cambridge Street Tramways only had 1 horse pulling the trams due to the very flat land. In other towns & Cities they had 2 hoses if they had to climb hills. Shame they portray skinny race horses both at Ipswich & Carlton Colville as they'd be Shire Horses in true reality.

I understood that - the disclaimer was for everyone else! I have a Land Rover with no seat belts. they were relatively late in being required even to be fitted, considering the improvement in safety - and even more recent the law requiring them to be worn. Seems odd now. Glad you find the films interesting - I'll try and film a walk around inside the museum, and some of the exhibits, at some point.

Clicked on the link, the first photo taken on the top deck of Ipswich tram 33 was one of mine. You stole that from British Trams Online lol. Never mind. The great Mr. Griffiths gave me the most gracious invitation to photo both Ipswich 33 & Cambridge 7 tramcars during their storage & restoration projects. Including a step inside to inspect the woodwork roof designs. He even invited me to stand from the balcony to photo Cambridge 7. I could never understand why Lowestoft had a 3 foot 6 inch gauge as the trams were as wide as the standard gauge trams, perhaps a few inches less. A wonderful kind man that i had the honour to meet & chat to Mr Griffiths is. Yes i will have to come to an open day sometime. The Lowestoft trams were built by Milnes of Birkenhead. So maybe not all trams were built to a specified standard? This has yet to be established through documentary drawings. as I'm sure somewhere along the lines there were tramcar width variations? Ipswich had a more slimline look to them. There's old tramcar drawings turning up at the North West of England Transport Museum in St Helens, Merseyside. They are in fine condition having been tucked away from dust & sunlight in hidden draws for many years. Including old original Blackpool Brush Railcoach tram designs. Wonderful to hear they have found some original adverts to go on Ipswich 33. When they display a good representation, i will be back to re-photo this magnificently restored historic tramcar. As i just love the old tramcars being born in Fleetwood near Blackpool. As a kid i'd watch for hours on end in our front garden or my bedroom watching them trundle down Meadow Ave. Regards, Bryan Grint.

I made a Christmas video of the inside of the Museum with that view again - I suspect there's been a few pictures taken from that vantage point - that video was just a quick look around everything. I hope to spend a bit more time looking at the different exhibits, in detail, at some point in the year.

James silly remark "Do you use it on School Runs" What a stupid remark. It wouldn't be legal.
