Well he also explained that even though a 600 makes more rational sense than a 1000, bikes are about more than just rational sense, they're (for a lot of people, perhaps not everyone) even more about joy and desire and sense be damned. And joy and desire change over time, it fluctuates. Might as well just go with it and enjoy whatever makes you happy at any given time, as long as you can afford it. I wish I could have more bikes and swap bikes more often, but my wallet won't let me right now.

point 2 : is really on the bike , kawasaki zx10r and honda cbr1000rr have higher steering so its more comfortable to than the r1& even the r6 for comparison. point 3 , live in europe insurance is cheaper since you can write down the big bikes on 100hp on paper. point 5 : power is your right hand and they all have power modes now . I would never say to start on a 1000 because the power will blow you away , but after years of exp and once you get that 1st liter bike the power is so addictive .

I never rode a 1000cc, but I've had a ZX-6R for two weeks and still in low power mode, I think it's pleeenty enough for the street hahah. Had a Ninja 300 for 4 seasons prior to that. One thing I've heard though is that it's easier to tap into the fun zone of the rev range of a 600 and really push it (mostly due to the shorter gearing) and that's a lot of fun on its own. I'd love to try a liter bike, but I feel like it's sort of a lazy powerhouse on which you can just roll on hard from any gear at like 5000 rpm, which, granted, some people may like!

Unless you're buying it with cash as well it'll be cheaper than buying the parts seperately since you can get a nice deal on the finance :D from looking at a few videos people have done it seems pretty competative to the HP4 Race except 1/3 the price. Definitely the best sports bike to buy right now

I’ve had a 600 and currently ride a 1000 and i do believe 600 are better depending on certain situations. But once you get a 1000. It’s hard to go back down to a 600, especially on the street.

I'm looking to get a 2017 R6 in the next week or two (I get my full licence in 4-5 weeks). There's just deals going on right now with the 2017 model... Should I be waiting to buy or just do it and have the bike ready?

My favorite bike is the 1199 Panigale but I totally agree, lower CC bikes are so much more fun, and to me fun is all what motorcycles are about.

I am 50 years old and have 3 different motorcycles.I have a 2016 Yamaha R1,a 2009 Ducati Monster 1100,and a 2015 Triumph Speed Triple 1050.600s are great my first bike was a 600 back in 93 that's what I took my road test on.A 1000 allows you to be in any RPM with tons of power and Torque to get you safely and quickly accelerating anytime anywhere.600s you really have to work nothing drives me more crazy when hearing someone on the expressway riding at 10 thousand RPMs.I could never use all the power on a 1000 but it sure is fun.My insurance is cheap as shit 26 years riding with no accidents or tickets.The 1000s these days have so many power modes.I let a friend who rode 600s only I started him on my weakest mode then gave him my aggressive setting.My ECU is flashed.Guess who sold his 600 to buy an R1.
@mooiboyace5 жыл бұрын
Christopher TheBigKid Sure it’s more usable, and power always is good. But riding a motorcycle to the full potential on a good mountain road is what really brings a smile to your face. If you started on a 600 you already missed the 250’s, 400/450’s etc. But well riding in America I can see a liter bike makes more sense than over here on the other side of the pond.

@@mooiboyace I use the monster in the Mountains here.We have a lot of technical roads.I live in North GA.I'll send you a video of my last ride.My friend was chasing on his Harley.Fast forward to 9:00 more spirited riding starts.I never pass cars on double solids We got stuck behind some cars when the roads open to passing then I take advantage.

Christopher TheBigKid Cool video ! That is the straighest mountain road I have ever seen though, no doubt the Monster is in it’s natural habitat. Mountain roads over here are just tiny (sometimes one way) roads with hundreds of hairpins where even a 600 would be on the heavy side.
@PEPEtheBulletSlinger5 жыл бұрын
Cbr 954rr is honestly the best. Weight of a 600, shortest wheelbase of any 1k with the power of a liter. It's a 1k slayer and is just as nimble as a 600.

I like them both. Both are fun and fast in there own ways. I love throwing around my R6 but my gsxr 1000 rolls on hard core. If I was getting a bmw I would do exhaust and the basic bolt ons. But I would not change the colors or anything. When it looks Factory but has the other badass components to make it haul ass it just makes it so much better.

Here’s 10 reasons you should buy a leader bike instead of a 600. You can stay in first gear, break the speed limit, and you can’t be herd from a mile away... Olay 4 but I’m sure u can think of more.. :) #bikelife, I’m joking of course. You’re doing a great job so keep doing what your doing. Love the videos ;).

i was one of those riders who wanted a 1000 as a first bike, and let me just say no matter how good you thing you are growing up on dirt bikes and such YOU CANT HANDLE 1000CC 3 of my friends and i all rode dirt bike growing up and where comfortable on bikes and a 600 is plenty! and cheaper so do your self a favor and get a 600 max as your first bike

I mean, you make really and I mean really good points on why a 600cc is better than a 1000cc, BUT, there are also reasons why 1000cc are better. I would be happy with the r6 as my first bike but I prefer getting the mt10 just because Im pretty sure I will not outgrow it.

I went from my Gsxr 600 to the Daytona 675r because I also felt like a 1000 is too much and I wanted a bike that has more power but was also gonna be a good track bike. I'll definitely be getting the Daytona 765 when it comes out.
@Snow02555 жыл бұрын
You should of went with the GsxR 750 it's a pretty good track bike, it hangs with 1000cc and still the same weight as a 600cc and alot of parts are interchangeable between the 600 and 750 so their retally available1
@RagingDage5 жыл бұрын
@@Snow0255 yeah I was also looking at those but ended up going with the Daytona since it was cheaper and had more of the gadgets I wanted on a track bike anyways. I'll probably get a 750 if they just change the fat front end body style

@@RagingDage I hear you man I use to hate the fat front end on the GsxR but I bought one and couldn't be happier and the fact that they don't have the rider assist electronics like all the other bikes is why I like them that much more cause it's you and the bike, also I'm not a fan of abs on the track

In the process of getting ready to sell my 2017 Yamaha r6 also looking at the new R1s I wish I had the money for a new 2020 S1000rr m edition but that a little too steep for me. if you can afford it bro go with the M those carbon fiber wheels are worth it alone let alone all the other adding like the tire pressure monitor and lighter weight components and it just looks so much better imo over the plain red but I’m not big into red just doesn’t match my personality
