As I’ve said before, I generally prefer a centre cockpit on a blue water sailboat, but damn I like this one. The interior is fantastic, and her sailing performance should be quite good as well. I’d probably go for the darker wood, but other than that I’d go for this layout, because the galley is excellent. Another fantastic Aquaholic Tour, with a bonus! Great to see the wife tucked away with a good book. Had a genuine chuckle.

Beneteau are a high volume manufacturer, a lot of boat for your money but so so joinery and squeaky floors. Having said that I sailed a First for many years, I could not afford a Halberg or a Swan. I also think that davits would free up a huge amount of space, who needs a tender garage on a sailing yacht? Good tour though.

I like getattable corners where you could tuck yourself away with a good book after a quick wash up in the shower stool and using the heads, preparing for a swim afterwards from the hi-low bathing platform, maybe opening the tender garage to take the Williams tender for a spin into the harbour. Must not forget to put some things away in places like this. Love your reviews, dear Nick!

Very nice that you now also cover what many say are real boats: those with sails. However, to me this one isn't even worth its price for the rig (in fact, if it was mine I would have taken down the rig and kept it as a quarter beach, quarter bathing platform, quarter party machine and quarter love nest). Why? Maybe I'm old fashioned and a sissy, but I think I had refused to sail this boat across any real oceans. Again why? I wouldn't have felt much secure in an open cockpit like this, and the party floor downstairs isn't made for bumpin around at a 30 degree angel. To me this kind of boat (and the majority of models these days) are strictly playboy calm coastal cruisers for the tropical charter market -- and hence, sub-optimal for any blue-water cruising (especially crossing the Tasman or North Sea). Just sayin' ....

Great Tour as always Nick - I was thinking that with all the boats you've ever shown the length of 48 to 54 feet seems to be almost the perfect size to me. Anything much larger becomes less snug, less homely, less intimate as it were and ends up almost being too much. These particular size boats seem to capture all that is needed to experience what boating is all about. Anything much larger and the 'feel' seems completely lost. Keep posting, you're the best!

LOL - A serious review with hilarity added. I was wondering how long it would be before Marianne became a regular part of your walkthroughs. How is she with the pronunciation of Miele and the unique mirror Nickwave (copyright pending)? But now having critiqued the review, that's a really nice yacht. I can happily see myself sailing around the Whitsundays in that. And a great idea to have a tender garage. I've never really liked towing the tender behind me, particularly on longer trips.
