Don't buy a Dodge. The brand has been ruined by old school sales practices. Harassment when you step on the lot, to all the dirty sales tactics. Take your trade in keys to never see again, too keeping you at the bargaining table for hours. Old school pos practices that most consumers know. So why the bs?
@andreww12125 жыл бұрын

@THE-MAD-TECHIE5 жыл бұрын
That's not really a brand thing, it's more of a dealer to dealer thing, I have seen the same behavior at a Toyota dealer, Ford Dealer etc etc, I even had one dealer tell me that I could not look around unescorted on their lot due to insurance reasons , which is bull.. remember most dealers are basically franchises they are not owned by Dodge or Ford in most cases. My position is the moment I feel pushed or they try to sell by monthly payment and not talk about actual car price (it's a dirty finance trick)...I walk. And I never give up my keys for a trade, you drove it on the lot they know it drives, especially if it's under 3 years old (and still has warranty) they don't need to drive it.

I live 1500 miles from Las Vegas. My car was totaled in Henderson. I bought a car from Chapman Chapman's closer insisted that I needed "gap insurance" to cover the car until I got home. He said we could cancel the insurance at any time. After we got home my wife called Chapman to cancel the "gap insurance". She was told that no one was present who could cancel the policy. We called multiple times over the next 3 weeks. Each time we were told there was no one present who could cancel the policy. I finally told the woman who answered the phone that if she didn't find someone who could cancel the policy my next call would be to consumer fraud division. A man came on the phone who asked me if the car was paid for. I told him no but I had other insurance and I wanted to cancel the policy. We finally got the "gap insurance" policy Chapman sold cancelled. I subsequently discussed the matter with my insurer and learned they have a 31 day "grace period" to notify them of a new car.

As hard as they're trying to make you take your video down, it's clear it's producing a negative effect on them. Otherwise, they wouldn't care about some obscure KZbin video... only it's not obscure. Apparently it's cutting into their business and is likely having a negative affect on their bottom line figures. I'm sure they laughed their asses off the day you shot the video in question in front of the dealership, only they aren't laughing now because it kicked into high gear and is having a serious affect on their ability to sell their products.
@ComputerLearning05 жыл бұрын
You hit the nail on the head, brother. Any other time this dealership wouldn't give a damn about someone posting negative youtube videos about them but the only reason they suddenly started caring is because they can see just how many people have watched his video and suddenly their business has probably dropped off enough for them to know it's because of this guy. That's when it's important to keep the pressure on, otherwise they'll have no reason to change their unscrupulous business practices.

its not always the actual direct result you get, that you can measure tangibly that is important ... its the residual LONG TERM results you can make a person believe they are getting . .. when things are slow, you can bet they think.,. hmmm I bet its that video on u tube causing this... THE CUE DE GRAS would be that the owner of TOWBACK dodge loses good standing with FCA and has to go sell cars on a chump change used car lot in a polyester suit, fake gold chains, and cheap sunglasses. Beware the ferocity of the patient man.. the Vietnamese have a saying .. a tiger cannot kill an elephant in one day,. but if he attacks him every day, relentlessly, for a week, he can take him down.. this is the mindset you must have in battle. War is not an event, it is a process.. heres the issue though, FCA saw all of the evidence, so either Towback Tobin is already in poor standing or FCA simply doesnt care.. I would talk very highly of FCA, and shitty on Towback dodge.. you want to create a wedge between the two... FCA will turn on Towback dodge in a heartbeat as long as they look good. There is little loyalty in business anymore. you will never know what conversations took place between TOBIN DODGE AND FCA.. TOBIN may have told them you were abusing the car, and caused the grief u had with FCA.. Tobin couldnt fix the car, so the booger is really on them... TOBIN is a DEALER, they are not FCA.. !!!!! Tobin is just like a shoe store who is authorized to sell NIKE shoes... they are NOTHING!!!

IT's FCA, look at where their vehicle sit in regards to "10 Worst" lists. FIAT's reputation is back where it was in the early '80's, and just like the '80's the brand may get pulled from the market due (no surprise) to lack of sales. Except for the Wrangler and Grand Cherokee, all Jeeps are re-skinnned FIATs. Dart ? FIAT. When the Challenger/Challenger finally get a re-boot, odds are it will be a FIAT chassis'd rig. The 300? That & the T&C will be shelved as the business case/cost for keeping the Chrysler brand alive makes no sense. Mopar hasn't been an American company since 1997 when the honchos at Chrysler & Daimler engineered a sneaky take-over & tried to disguise it as a "Merger of equals." Iacocca & Kerkorian warned stockholders, the majority of which approved the "Merger," that it was a screw job. The two took DamnearChrysler to court and won a nearly $500M judgement against Daimler. That pretty much let me know I don't want any Mopar, and when Obama forced the abandoned corpse into bed with FIAT in 2009/2010, pretty much sealed their fate with me. This video affirms my decision to never spend money at FCA- which is a shame

Understood... everything you wrote very true

As long as they offer the three money makers; Wranglers, Hellcats, and new Ram Trucks out the door as low as $22,000 after rebates, FCA will be in business for a long time like it or not. They just sent a Wrangler Rubicon for my video channel to test with a price tag of $52,000! The RAM I had last week had a $67,000 sticker. People are rushing to the dealer to pay these prices..unreal. They are not going away any time soon...will surely outlast GM.
@olikat85 жыл бұрын
$22k...must be a stripper 6-cyl 2wd 1500. With the forecasted economic coming end of 3rd quarter/4th quarter of 2019, people "Rushing out" to blow $52k+ will be getting repo'd in short order (look at the repo percentage jump)- also, look at how high the percentage of auto loans are sub-prime; FCA giving huge rebates is not a great sign. When giving huge rebates & high lease rates, that actually kills profits. GM dying? No. They are killing off slow movers- they move far more vehicles than Mopar could dream of. Think that's wrong? Did you look at the Chinese market where GM sells 3x the North American market. Big picture.
@chadhaire17115 жыл бұрын
A. What planet do you live on? Chrysler has been giving huge rebates since 1970's..it's the only way they can sell them. Toyota Tundra sticker $30,000, sell for $30,000. Toyota Tacoma 4 banger with stick shift $26,000. Ram sticker with automatic, power everything, Big V6 sticker $30,000 or sell for $22,000 out the door which is why Ram sells 500,000 units per year. Dodge Charger, Challenger, and 300 sells total 180,000 per year compared to Chevy Impala dropped from 270K 6 years ago to only 70,000 this year. B. The economy is always going to be good with Trump running things--only DemoRats can screw it up as they do everything else C. Gm Chinese market doesn't mean shit---by Chinese law all American car makers must share technology with a Chinese "partner". As soon as they steal how to do it, they will toss GM away like a trash bag like they did the American bicycle makers. D. Doesn't matter about the "bad merger" with Mercedes....fact is if it wasn't for that merger ALL Chrysler cars would have gone under--no Challengers, Chargers, 300, no cars at all. Jeep would have been sold off, Ram probably killed. Even a bad marriage can produce nice kids, and what resulted from the Mercedes hookup kept MOPAR alive like it or not. E. And like it or not, the Charger, Challenger, Ram, are always going to sell well....the price cutting is done at a rate GM & Ford will not compete. Try to buy a full size Charger size car from Ford, GM, or anyone else for $22,000. You can't even get a tiny Toyota Corolla for that anymore. Or a full size truck for that matter at same price. So what if it falls apart when it hits 80,000 miles? Time to trade in on a new one anyway---if you don't like that idea then pay an extra $8,000 for the Toyota and stop bitching!
@olikat85 жыл бұрын
@@chadhaire1711 A) Earth. Lived in several countries, too. I Know they've given rebates since before the '70's- but the steep rates at which they've been doing them (not to mention the length of time they've been doing them for), zero-to-low percentage interest loans, and the large amount of sub-prime loans they've been granting is like just before 2008. Not to mention the sub-$500 monthly lease rates on rigs in the $45K range that are proliferating the market. Toyota's generally sell for more because the are more respected, better built on the whole, and worth more- hell, let's not even compare F-150 sales. When was the last time you saw any Chrysler on any "Recommended" list by any consumer group with credibility- they are always "Recommended to run away from." The Chrysler brand is a lame-duck brand. The Charger, 300, Challenger are still made on the old Benz E-class (albeit a little R&D invested into them from the time Daimler intro'd it in about the late-'90's) ; when they have to re-vamp/freshen the chassis it will be a re-hashed FIAT and keeping Chrysler alive makes no monetary sense (just like FIAT is pulling FIAT-badged crap because it sells like it was 1981 all over again). Chevy Impala? Who buys those? Why don't we talk about Skoda's? About as relevant B) You didn't see the last election in November? Congress has gone (D); if you think the Russia collusion stuff, Stormy Daniels garbage , et al is blocking the path- you need to sit and watch the next few months. They are going to do whatever they can to make sure it's an S-show (I believe it is all worthless, dirty politics). Between that, the Fed pulling the qualitative easing money out of the market (yes, it's been 10 years- but let's face it, it had to stay in the market because Obama's economic policies sucked...1.4-2% growth? That's stagflation) and popping up rates .25 point a time, Trump is going to have very slim chance of pulling off much w/o appeasing the dems. And ultimately they want to BBQ his ass anyways and get the White House in 2020. All that and the mixed market messages are making investors edgy, and for good reason. The only thing good coming up is the 90-day trade talks starting next week with China; if that goes well it will buy him some time. C) GM Chinese market doesn't mean shit, eh? Boeing. VW/Audi. Mercedes. BMW. US rice farmers. Trade talks with Trump starting in a few days- wonder why that's happening if "It doesn't mean shit." D) "Bad" merger did mean a lot. Benz took Chrysler from the most profitable per-unit-sold to the least profitable per-unit-sold within a few years. When 2008/2009 crashed out, Daimler walked away- just basically said ,"F-it, we're done with this." So Obama and his "Crack" group engineered the corpse of Chrysler to get in bed with FIAT. FIAT...instead of following many business leaders advice to let the remaining shell go chapter 11 and re-organize, that was their genius strategy. Same with the GM bail out. E) There are no guarantees. The market and people's tastes change. Ford- smarter than the rest in this category- flat out said "We are dropping all cars but the Mustang." Sad day to me, but emotions aside, it was the right business move. Small, dependable, inexpensive cars? Hyundai/KIA have that market sewn up. Big, fat-ass sedans? Dwindling market- I happen to prefer sedans, but the mass market doesn't. Everybody, wife included, seems to want an SUV. Going to have my buddy put in an order for an Acura RDX Type-S when they become available (3.5L, twin turbo, 10-speed trans, torque-vectoring AWD- even with the 4 cyl version that AWD system is fun to drive). Built in East Liberty, Ohio unlike a lot of so-called "Domestics"- added bonus is I pay much below sticker (I never, ever pay anywhere retail on DD vehicles)- Honda retains it's value and will be much less trouble than any Mopar passenger vehicle of the last 40 years. F) If Mopar/FCA is so wonderful, answer me this- why was this video made? Obviously, they have customer satisfaction & service down pat. G) I'm not bitching. I find it tragic that Mopar of the '50's, '60's and into the early'70's was an engineering, innovation and technical marvel. Missiles. Tanks (Abrams M1-A1 ring a bell). Cars. Trucks. Boats. Motor homes. Since that point they just have never equaled the stature they had- the honcho's even sold the company & their shareholders out 21 years ago. H) Even if you think you have won the argument or vice versa, there is no clear winner. You see, perspective is a funny thing- arguing on the internet is like winning a gold medal at the Special Olympics. You won, but it's still kinda retarded. Happy 2019, Chad!

It is amazing the lengths some people will go through to try and save themselves rather than just doing the right thing from the beginning (I am referring to the owner of Towbin wanting to get you to accept a smoking deal on a car to pull your video and make a new reversal video). If that dealership started off with some ethics and morals they would not be in this situation. For far too long corporate America has been able to do whatever it wanted and the consumer just had to "eat it". Now with social media and KZbin the consumer has a meaningful voice that actually impacts large businesses. Perhaps we can slowly return to a point where businesses actually care about the consumer rather than just a sales number. Outstanding videos and I am looking forward to seeing your next as well as your new Redeye.

Paul K, I just wanted to take the time and thank you for all the useful information you gave in the last couple videos. Step by step, point by point, you explained what law protections we have as consumers to protect against unethical business practices even at the corporate level. You informed us who needed to be contacted, as well as visually showing what needs to be documented. How you went about highlighting the useful points was not just beneficial for those dealing with a lemon to see, but beneficial for all car owners to see how service records, emails, etc. should be kept. Correct documentation is key. You even laid out examples of how the FCA and the dealership faught back until the absolute end. For that dealership, and the FCA to demand the deletion of the video threatening a lawsuit angers me. The munipulating tactics used against you has me thinking this happens all the time and people just fold because most people don't understand what hoops to jump through until it's already too late. We all are thankful you didn't accept the cheaper hellcat offer. I mean, $20,000 off is a hell of a deal but I am confident you helped so many others with this video that its worth well over that amount. Thank you again Paul. Regards, Jared

It's amazing to me how much dealers will try to fight against a consumer just to try and weezle out of paying out. If they would have just taken care of you in the beginning like they should of they would have saved everyone so much time and in the end mostly money for both you and themselves. And now the dealership is really feeling it because they are losing business and sales. I think everyone should post their dealer reviews because it will keep dealers and manufacturers honest. Congrats on the new Redeye. This is what social media is for.

If I recall, yours was the case of the Hellcat that wouldn't steer straight/correctly? Then numerous attempts to address it at dealer failed. 🤔 I was surprised they'd let anyone be out there with a safety hazard like that. They could have just gotten you a new unit, but they didn't. 🙄 Now this? C'mon, dealership. This is NOT how confidence & trust are inspired by any business.

As former car salesman I've noticed that most of the large name dealerships that have multiple franchises do not care about their customers or employees. Look at the turnover rate every time one walks into a dealership how the staff changes. All they care about at the end of the day is the all mighty $ The customers that have a negative experience tell people to go elsewhere. You look at some of the dealership reviews of the big box dealerships and they are great? why because the reviews are fake or were generated by the employees or bought fake reviews. Sad but true.

I’ve bought 4 new cars from Prestige Dodge. 3 in the same year, their service department sucks and so was the sales manager/finance manager. They lied to me and try to screw me out of $2,000, luckily the finance company stepped in and gave me what I wanted. I sent a letter about this experience to the General Manager and never heard a response or an apology. Javon was my sales guy for 3 of the purchases and is a weasel, never again will I consider Prestige and now Towbin Dodge. For service I had Jim Marsh handle my service.

Great video Paul K. I love it when somebody speaks the truth and won't be blackmailed by the bad guys with power. Integrity is the most valuable trait in human beings and you sir exude it! As I listened to your story I realized there is a way however that you can give both Towbin Dodge and FCA corporation what they want, and still retain your integrity.... Offer to SELL THEM the rights to the video for a set price. $1 per viewer on the date your offer is accepted and closed. Tell them that they can go in together for the buy for all you care, $1 per viewer puts it in their hands with all rights, and you'll pull it from KZbin and hand it over once the money is in the bank. You make more money for your (long) video than many movies make, and you don't have to break your word and buy or accept another car from Towbin Dodge! But tell them to hurry, as the price is going up every hour they wait! Good luck to you Paul, looking forward to your video in February!

1 out of 3 Challengers ain't bad? My family, rancher and farmers buy nothing but GM, at least 20 work trucks & Surburbans in the last 30 years and worked them hard. Not 1 single lemon, all have been great vehicles. These are not commuter queens you see parked in an office lot. These trucks earn money from hauling horse shit to cow feed and 30 feet goose neck trailers 6 days a week often sunrise to sunset. Never saw the neighbors dodges do nothing but crap out transmissions, always at the shop. He borrowed a truck for 2 months while his trans was being shipped to a high performance rebuilder, it died less than a year later with a trailer full of cattle going to auction house... He finally gave up & bought GM, never looked back.

After my issues with an FCA product a year ago which included 7 trips to the service center and leaving the car for transmission problems. I ask about trading it for another FCA vehicle. They offered me an extremely low trade in price. They could care less about my problem. I ended up switching to another brand and have been completely satisfied. After all the crap the dealership and FCA put you through. I'm not sure Why you want another FCA vehicle? After the way you said you were treated. It would take a lot more than 700 Horsepower to make me do business with FCA again. My issue was finally repaired at least it was when I traded it. FCA can keep their vehicles. I have to ask. What happens if you have issues with your new Red-eye? I don't think FCA will come to your rescue. Good luck.

Tbh FCA or Dodge or Chrysler or whatever doesnt care about consumers......like my 98 dakota, one little part the size of a half dollar is bad. Instead of selling me one, the only way they will is to sell me a $400 assembly. So instead of a $5 part they want $400 for the whole thing
@chadhaire17115 жыл бұрын
That is why they have junk yards.
@mlss54135 жыл бұрын
@@chadhaire1711 yes they have junkyards.......problem is the part i need is made of rubber.....rubber and junkyards DO NOT MIX. Also on alot of forums people are having the same problem, heat only going to defrost. The problem isnt the assembly but the rubber disk that is inside the assembly......so again, its a $5 part that they wont sell but want u to pay $400 for the assembly NOT the part u need
@chadhaire17115 жыл бұрын
MISS: Do you really think your vehicle is the only model, or even brand that has this issue? NOT SO. It used to be that if you lost a battery cable, you went down to Checker Auto and bought a new one for $4. Now almost ALL cars have the battery cable connected to the entire electric wiring ALL ONE PIECE. So one wire on your battery post gets corroded you have to pay for an entire assembly at about $400! Or used to be a headlight was $15, and you just screwed a replacement in. NOT SO NOW---damage most headlights and they can cost as much as $1800 to replace....get water in one at the carwash, or as BMW the assembly melts..$1800 please. You think you are going to get away from this by get away from FCA cars? NO. Not unless you get that tiny Mitsubishi Mirage 3 cylinder car--that is cheap to fix.

Good information but one lesson you didn't learn stay away from Chrysler products period they are junk. Yes the dealership did you wrong, but had the product not been crap to start with you would not have had to go through all this in the first place.
