This property was incredible to see. By request of the family we kept some details private. This is the home of a retired physician and his wife. They own six hundred acres of farm and forest land as well as other homes on the land. The entry to the property is a beautiful winding drive through pine forest with a circle drive around a huge oak by the front door There is a single plank wooden swing hanging from two inch diameter rope on a limb of the great oak that reaches toward the house. The house somewhat secluded and is not visible from the road. You may be able to tell by the size of the walk out basement that the home is rather large. The living area with the garage are approximately twice the size of the basement work shop.
We had the opportunity to go through the home to check the floors and walls for heat signatures because they thought there were several hives in the home. I knew going into this job that we wouldn't find nearly the problems that they thought they had. I was told the house had upwards of nine or ten hives according to a pest control guy who had been out to look. I knew this was very unlikely as I have never seen a single property with more than five hives and that was an unoccupied property. An occupied property with more than a couple of hives is pretty rare. The living area of this home was immaculate and somewhat up to date. The garage and work area were just the opposite. Wherever the Mrs. had little influence there was a lot of clutter of period pieces from the fifties through the seventies. and not much of it was junk. You can see one of the items in the photo montage at the end of the video. It was a Westinghouse cooker of some sort on top of a cabinet factory built to hold it. I thought it was a neat piece and had never seen one so I made a picture.
We did only find evidence of one hive location but it was apparent that there had been multiple die outs and rehabitations over decades in this same space. It was confirmed by the owner's daughter that there had been a bee problem in this home since the late 80s. When we were done with the removal of this hive we closed the entrance permanently which should prevent future infestations. This removal was done over two years ago and we haven't been called back so I have to assume our work did the trick.

Dekay's Brown snake - harmless - is a common snake found throughout the United States and range in the entire state of Mississippi. They are small and brown, often with a noticeable lighter middorsal stripe. Adults can grow to around a foot in length. Sides may be dashed or checkered, but individuals are variable. Anecdotally, those not familiar with snakes may call them “baby copperheads,” though the are completely harmless to humans and pets

This customer is very close to my heart. My dad had a large house with his model airplane workshop in the basement. Dad passed 8 months shy of his 90th birthday. Dad was very active until the last 4 months of his life. His heart got weak and he couldn't up and down the stairs. I have his models, equipment, tools etc. Each of my kids and grandkids got one of his model planes. That is a feat because the planes have a 6ft wingspan! There are a few smaller ones but dad was into the large planes. He was a pilot back in his youth and was in the Army-Airforce in WWII

That layer of wax moth debris was so thick it was a wonder the queen cage was not sucked into it like quick sand. This video proves that bees are not particular where they build, even if it's in the graveyard of another beehive. God's peace brother.

So after watching and reading through the description from this video specifically, i have a question I never considered. Is there a "common" amount of hives or a natural maximum population of bee's in certain areas or climates? Also want to tell you, there's never enough video of you and Pete out doing cutouts, that friendship you guys have reminds me of some past friendships that I miss, always Joking around, laughing and having a ball, even when working, especially when working! Making a job not feel like work, at.all.. Thanks for sharing what i presume is just one of many many cut outs that haven't made it to YT yet.
@628DirtRooster
@628DirtRooster Жыл бұрын
Hey TJ the amount of hives for an area is only limited by a few factors. The two main ones would be available food source for a given area and available spaces to make a home. Jus this year we removed ten hives from an area where they were no more than a mile apart between the two outside ones. That area could probably handle a hundred hives during a flow if there were places for them to move into. Of course if you were to look at more arid environments their hive load per square mile would not be nearly as strong due to limited resources. So in the end it just depends. Yep, plenty more unedited removal videos waiting to be put together.
