The Sacred Speaks

Күн бұрын

This is one of the most controversial podcasts in the history of The Sacred Speaks; though controversy is familiar territory for the participant, Dr. DAC Hillman. Dr. Hillman began his doctoral research in the middle of a controversy that threatened him with a conflict between the choice of censuring his research to graduate with his doctorate or not pass. So he did what any self-respecting doctoral student would do - remove the controversial work from his dissertation, and the write a book about it. The Chemical Muse is that book whose central thesis circulates within and through the heart of the “offensive” content - the recreational and sacred use of drugs in classical antiquity. Though his advisors denied that people in classical antiquity used drugs both recreationally and within religious rites, the evidence currently underway confirms his censured thesis. But he did not stop there. Dr. Hillman’s research investigates practices by religious Mystery cults in the classic age who participated in the unimaginable, by modern standards. Have you ever imagined that the human body could or would be used as a pharmacy to produce antidotes to drugs and venoms administered to initiates of sacred Mysteries traditions; and that without those human produced antidotes, the initiate’s body would begin to fail? What if the bodies of both adults and children were used in such ways? Dr. Hillman and Dr. Price discuss ancient religion, translating ancient texts, hidden language, image, magic, witches, sexual abuse of children, Jesus and St. John, obscured practices within ancient Mystery cults, Magi, the body as pharmacy, Gnostics, heresy, censorship by those in power, homosexuality, the patriarchy, priestesses, myth, & Magic.
Bio:
Dr. DC Ammon Hillman earned his MS in Bacteriology and Ph.D. in Classics from the University of Wisconsin Madison, where he specialized in Ancient Greek and Roman medicine and pharmacy. His first book, The Chemical Muse, was published with St. Martin’s Press immediately after his dissertation committee forced him to delete all references to recreational drugs from from his thesis. Dr. Hillman also wrote Original Sin, a work about the use of drug-induced child rape in early Christian ritual. The publication of The Chemical Muse inspired the production of a lengthy History Chanel documentary on the history of drug use in the ancient world. After an official inquiry by the Catholic Church into allegations of demon possession, Dr. Hillman was fired from St. Mary’s University of Minnesota. He continues to write about the use of drugs in ancient mystery cults and tutors ancient Greek online.

I wonder how much of it is Ammon's style changing, and how much of it was due to the dynamic between Danny and Ammon. I like Danny and subscribe to his channel, but he has a hard time grasping the arguments of a lot of his guests, and his demeanor can become bristly and guarded (borderline unfriendly) when this happens. I noticed it almost immediately in Danny's interview with Ammon. Whereas John (this interviewer) was very familiar with Ammon's work already and could kind of "speak the language" in a way Danny couldn't, and was immediately warmer and more open in terms of his attitude. I can't say for certain of course, but I have to imagine that kind of thing plays a big role in setting the tone for an interview. Most people are better at being interviewed if they feel welcomed and understood.

This is the most mind blowing testimony from any one person I have found in the last 20 years surfing the world wide web. And!! a great interviewer asking all the right questions making the discussion worth listening too, other wise I would have been just as confused as he was a few times while the interviewee was talking. 53:18 the magick is not to invoke an image, the magick is to invoke an Archetype and the archetype being an angel / multidimensional energy or being that will affect the body/guest/vessel behaviors. In a sense the magician Consciously evoke an archetype that will manifest itself Subconsciously in the other person mind and partially take control of it (as Carl Jung said "until you make the unconscious conscious it will direct your life and you will call it faith"... in this context we can say, until you make the unconscious conscious it will direct your perceived experience and you will call it Magick). Said differently the magician spell-out words that will evoke an archetype in the other person's mind (person under the spell) as the magician is conscious of the archetype he is invoking, he is not affected by but the other person experience the archetype in a subconscious level and, as such, the archetype/magick create an experience that escape the person's consciousness; That's why the magick can't be perceived nor understood... and suddenly is simply... given the name of Magick. By definition we can't consciously see what is subconscious, that's why magick appear super-natural but as soon as the "trick" is revealed = made conscious then the magick it's over. Although this might sound extra-ordinary is actually very common; Every time we speak we do the same, we spell out sounds that evoke symbols/images on the listener's mind, this is the nature of human communication. The difference is that the magician, driven by his introspective nature, develop a deeper self-knowledge, enter in contact with his own shadow and is in this process that he start to connect with his owns archetypes / his owns demons / his owns angels... he make the unconscious conscious so he heal himself and, in the process, he learn how to heal others... tough spell or, as Freud did, by making the patient speak = spell = evoking his owns demons and angels in a controlled way. We truly live in a magick world and as such most of this experience that we call life will remain sealed to most of us because of the limited reach of our 5 senses to grasp the complexity of reality... and that's why magick is always associated to rituals designed to created an alternated state of consciousness so to allow the doors of the subconscious to open-up and grasp a reality that otherwise will not be accessible. Last point I want to touch on is about the magician nature, the alchemist. The real magician / alchemist don't waist time trying to manipulate nature or other people because he knows that he is the alpha and the omega of his own existence and as such he knows that the ultimate magick / alchemical work of transformation is the one he does on himself to transform his shadow into light, his fears into courage, his humanity in divinity.

. . . yet another thoroughly rewarding interview - thank you immensely sir - on another note for those interested, the tattoo on Dr. Ammon Hillman' left forearm is a quote from Euripides' play "The Bacchae" spoken by the God Dionysus to King Pentheus - «Οὐκ οἶσθ᾽ ὅ τι ζῇς οὐδ᾽ ὃ δρᾷς οὐδ᾽ ὅστις εἶ» - (original classical antiquity ancient Greek) - «Δεν ξέρεις γιατί ζεις, τι πράττεις, ποιος είσαι» (modern Greek translation) - “You do not know why you live, what you do, who you are” (American / English translation)

I've been studying the history of Aztec human sacrifice rituals, the myths, the festivals, symbolism, the priesthood, etc. and what I find so fascinating is how tightly their system of sacred pretexts tracks with those of the Old World. The more I learn the more I come to believe that the primary function of priesthoods is to create elaborate sacred pretexts with which to act out the two primary complexes of inappropriate aggression and inappropriate sexuality.

_"Drink wines that foam"_ is a line in a song (Exorcism by Killing Joke). I always assumed it was a quote, given the lead singer's (Jaz Coleman) obsession with the occult, but seems it might originate with him. Jaz was a fullblown Rosicrutian for years, in the early daze of the band, but claims to have left that all behind, supposedly in favour of love over knowledge or somesuch. Hrm, I'm skeptical. As far as I can tell, he's a spook disinformation agent (Cheltenham origin lends credence; besties with Jimmy Page much moreso. KJ's bass player is besties with McCartney, has recorded 3 albums with him under the moniker _'The Fireman'-NOT a reference to Sata, I'm sure ;p-produced Floyd's last album, and I could go on and on.) Case in point re Jaz: they just happened to stuff up the song duration printed on the single of one of their biggest hits, _'Eighties'_ from their 1985 album Night Time. It's listed as 03:33, when it's actually 03:51. That's known as a Code 33 drop, BTW (Rosicrutians are arguably even more rabid about the whole 33 thing than apron fairies, in my experience) Okay this was a few decades ago now, but just watch any interview with Jaz: strenuously full of $hit at least half the time (I saw him give a speech in public a few yrs ago; he wound up finishing up by w@nking on about Morgellons and playing some KZbin vids of same, which absolutely cracked me up. Morgellons vids rely on static electricity to freak out the super-gullible, eternally credulous unfortunates down the wrong end of the IQ bell curve / gene pool; one of the $hittiest psyops to come out of the bowels of Langley, 77th Brigage, or . _(The 'Black Goo'_ psyop is worth a look next time you want a belly laugh BTW :) I'd recommend you give Exorcism a listen, but I've got misgivings about that lot. I met and hung out with them for several hours in New Zealand after the last gig on their tour in 2013. Re. my misgivings, one of the most obvious examples would be their song _'Wilful Days.'_ Take a listen; it's a bloody good song, musically, IMO, but uh...take a look at the lyrics? Is it just me, or is Wilful Days perhaps an underage rape anthem, with a nod to Aleister Crowley (AntiChrist, 13, Crow, Owl), and his plagairized gobshite _Do What Thou Wilt"_ motto in the title? FYI -Google- web search search term _'Code 33 article series The Open Scroll'_ will learn you as much as you're likely to want to know about the significance of Bingo Yahtzee Buzz Number 33 to apron fairies, rosey crosses, spooks, and other public nuisances. (Ignore the open scroll guys nut-f*ckery about the impending time reset and so on; they're Christian conspiracy theorists; we've all got our cross to bear). I must say, of all the Bingo buzz-number droppers, I've never seen anything quite like Club 93, AKA -Thelema victims- Thelemites. E tu, Ammon?! Speaking of 93, per the occult euphemism _"As above, so below*'_ Queen did a song called 39...penned by His Badgesty, Lord Sir Doctor Brian May (MBE, OBE, PhD) himself. All about the time dilution effect of near-lightspeed space travel. Quite a Queen fan-favourite. Here's an interesting pic of Brian May seemingly gearing / grooming up to do what apron fairies do best (buggering boys): pin.it/7AeJH75Rk * Or my revised version: _"As a bruv, so a bro."_ ;p

The First Physician in the ancient world was said to be the Goddess Gula, known as the She Goat, Baba/Bau, the consort of Zababa, she was associated with Vega the Harp Star in Lyra, another name was Fides or Fidicula, which is a Roman goddess Fides, the deification of good faith and honesty. The She Goat, goddess Gula is associated Venus, the goddess of love, it is Venus that makes a 5 pointer star associated with the Goat, which it talking about her Goatee she has when Venus reappears from behind the Sun, calling Bearded Venus. Your idols have symbols on them associating them with constellations and Stars, that are seen together at a certain time of the year. If you know the constellations, then you'll see all the symbolism for the Orphic Mysteries surrounding the constellation Ophiuchus, if you know astrology, Ophiuchus would be the Womb of the Goddess, Scorpio is the Sexual Organ, and Sagittarius the Hips & Thighs, it holds your 'ASS' as in the half man half Donkey, Sagittarius, and the fact all men ride the Ass into this world, maybe why the word Ass is associated with meaning God in Norse Mythology. The Zodiac is Female, and Orion is the Male, the only constellation that has a penis, the symbolism you see in these Orphic Mysteries, is when you place his sword on the western Horizon, now you have captured all the symbolism in the heavens. Now you need to know the names of these stars and their meaning to know what they are saying, and why these rituals lasted all night. there are the rising eastern stars and the descending western stars, they will place a star at midheaven. You call this the short version

I've been an Atheist for years but I had no idea the translations were so descriptive and visceral. It's truly amazing. Epic even. The level of understanding here is beyond the realm of current religious understanding. Religious people always say the boy in Mar 14:51-52 was a symbol of the fleeing of the disciples. But why a boy when so many other symbols of flight were so well known in the ancient world? Once you do the deep dive, it's truly mind blowing.

Thank you, Devin! It's difficult not to project our current culture onto others both within time and space. Sometime around 1:26:00 we discover the problem with Rome, London, NYC, DC and LA. For decades, we have wondered what the problem might be ... that we discover again and again the widespread abuse of children around the world being perpetrated by those thought respectable. Then it turns out there has long been a rite of sodomy. So, when you read about the early criticisms of Judaism or Christianity, as in the Octavius of Marcus Minucius Felix, you can safely ignore some of the protestation. Just as the tales of adenochrome extraction from Huxley in 1954 onward are all conspiracy -- no theory.

Only other literary source would be kjv with strongs concordance. Lot's of flippin pages back and forth, but once one gets the jist and know how greek & hebrew speak, it doesn't even say what's on the page. You can essentially "retranslate" everything starting at genesis. But a lot of close meanings could be had,، but it's NOT "technically translate correct" Like what ammon's doing just reading and holding on

Also , to add to your statement about psychosis and antiquity. I’m not a professional. I don’t have a masters or even a bachelors, but in my little bit of knowledge that I do have a lot of cultures and antiquity would consider someone who is.” psychotic.” to be somebody with foresight so psychotic person could possibly be a shaman or you know or somebody that can see the future or somebody you know can the dead. So I agree with him on the note that he can understand why somebody in antiquity would possibly intentionally induce psychosis. From what I understand people that were crazy were considered special and antiquity in a lot of societies.

That was so interesting. I got opened up drastically when I did a hallucinogenic drug over 47 years ago. For me it was great! I started researching consciousness books and going to groups . I would walk miles in the Alaska snow to meet with just a couple of like minded people. Over the years I have done so many things that almost nothing Ammon said really shocked me. The patterns of history both personnel and universal have always interested me. I never thought Jesus was resurrected from the dead but I did wonder about his story. One of my college research papers was on the power of groups. I always remembered as a young child the phrase”When one or more gather in my name”…..our conscious awareness can create abundance or a real nasty experience. I have to wonder if all the sexual stuff was about expanding their consciousness along with hallucinogenic chemicals in nature. Jason at Archaix has quite a bit of great history based on books and scrolls of antiquity. Bet he would love researching Ammon’s stuff. Thank you for the interview!

You have two individuals (both Males in embodiment) who have secretly, in the dark, behind the back managed to tap into your vital force energies. Both used a lie to accomplish this access. The lie they told is "you are in service". Convenient when such an enforcement benefits the receiver but not the donor right ? Your awareness of this dynamic should do the trick !

They are practice in ritual. The church and the vicars of christ still practice ritual rapes. Why do you think priests, pastors and other church leaders are involved in pedophiliac scandals?

That question was asked in another talk, the answer was yes.

I think if there was a way for priests to commune directly w God, that practice never stopped but just went underground. Maybe that's why there's so much pedophilia in the church. Remnants if the mystery traditions

It's like 3 years ago Ammon is different from the Ammon of recent videos, the way he speaks, the way he present is much more coherent and to the point , wonder if he took some of the stuff he read about which completely changed him

Why is it always that he took drugs or something ? Could it be that he may be has an illness of some kind that he is dealing with and prefers not to disclose that affects his nervous system or something else ? I say this as I deal with something similar that makes it hard to gain weight and I often get stares from people which feels awful . Why are people always first to judge the worse instead of thinking it maybe something else entirely ?

Ammon Hillman is quickly rising into the group of the Enlightened with McKenna, Dass and Watts. I hope he keeps this up.

THAT is truly crazy. Is there a good source for the Bible in its original language and form? If we don't know Greek or Hebrew is there an online interpreter you recommend?

Only other literary source would be kjv with strongs concordance. Lot's of flippin pages back and forth, but once one gets the jist and know how greek & hebrew speak, it doesn't even say what's on the page. You can essentially "retranslate" everything starting at genesis. But a lot of close meanings could be had,، but it's NOT "technically translate correct" Like what ammon's doing just reading and holding on
