Heath & Cedar, I have seen all your videos but I think maybe this is one of your best. The sweet interaction and love between y'all, when you were cleaning up at the water tanks and sitting on the roof, was great to see and the music you chose fitted in perfectly. Great job editing! Ruby is such a star girl! I love seeing her enjoying her rides with Heath! Your kids helping mom cleaning out the garden was also very nice to see, and, of course, the goats got a delicious vegetable buffet out of it. Blessings to y'all!

Cedar when you get a sec, rake up some leaves and spread them on your garden boxes, if you can shred them with the mower even better, and dump some horse manure on top. It will help to keep your garden healthy

Looks like you got your veggies in in the nick of time. I just had my soil delivered for my new beds in preparation for springtime planting. Can't wait since I learned a few things this last year with raised beds that was totally new to me. My haul was surprisingly good for the year, but haven't learned how to can yet. That's my next project. The only thing I really miss in our old place is the fireplace! Keep warm and busy.

Still see the possibility for under ground cellar there by the garden quite similar to the water tank shelter carved into the bank would provide storage for garden produce all winter long such as root crops and apples cabbage squash oranges even corn on the cob grandparents did with there above ground cellar but it was extremely well insulated answer had a double door entry walls were very thick could stand the the threshold with both doors closed tight but possibly

You dropping your sunglasses in the hydraulic fluid was like me dropping my regular glasses in the old engine oil I drained out of my tractor. Hey at least they're lubricated LOL. I also spilled about 3/4 of a gallon of hydraulic fluid all over my carport when I did my 50 hour break in service I pulled the transmission filter screen not thinking about what would happen...the fluid shot out about 2 feet across the carport, the wheel on that side was very well lubricated as well....oops....next time I'll drain the fluid out the bottom drain first. I was surprised though, the fluid was still really clean, and the pickup screen wasn't covered in gunk like so many other videos I had watched showing theirs completely caked in metal particles and sealant pieces. I really need to do a garden too, but I can't find enough motivation to do all the other stuff around the house I need to do, let alone trying to tend to a garden. By the time I get home from work, all I want to do is sit down and do nothing. I guess I need to be far less motivated at work, and save it for home LOL.

Here in Somerset UK at the end of the growing season instead of struggling to pull the tomato/ potato/ bean plants etc from the ground cut them off about an inch from ground level and leave to breakdown over winter. This aerates your soil and puts nutrients back. Works for me.😊

JudithB Yep, rocks, they grow here!! The garden produces lots of small rocks by the bucket full every year, and I use them to repair the driveways. I started a new rock way, but the rocks are a bit small, so will move them somewhere else. I stacked some big flags 25 yrs ago until I knew where to use them, so plan to move them to the new rock walkway. Its a yearly thing!!! My son sold a load of rocks in town one year, but now he hauls rocks from other places. Round river rocks are great for edging gardens, and I paint some of them red for plant markers, and thinking rock lady bugs would be cute here n there!! LOL My garden is still producing so ketchup and salsa is waiting to be canned. Another neighbor gave us 3 more big oak trees that were cut down 2 yrs ago, so lot more wood to work. This year looks like wood harvesting is the name of the game!! My son wants to sell some of it to pay for the new chainsaw. I am trying to finish up projects this week between rains and before it gets much colder. I am ready to settle in for the winter, but looks like its going to be awhile!! Enjoy your videos so much!! Thank you!

An impressive old tool is a drill press used before power. Rectangular wooden frame holding the crank handles that through gears rotate the drill bit. Maybe 2 feet high by a foot across. Sets on a large beam and the operator starts cranking, drilling an inch or whatever sized hole.

I've been meaning to give some advice when installing anymore railroad ties, So i had to build a retaining wall with them and i ended up pre-drilling a ⅝" hole and used No#5 rebar and the way i hammered them in was by using a Milwaukee hammer shank on a sds hammer drill in chisel action mode....I was able to drill a 24" deep hole and cut my rebar to 23" and i must say it worked amazingly well and i didn't have to swing a 4lb hammer....hopefully this can be of some use in the future! Love the videos!!

Good to see its now refered to as the Bunker. did you leave your self enough room in it around the water tanks to store a few supplies? I do have a suggestion, along with have you thought to put dirt/sod on the top of the roof, I really like how its dug into the side of the hill nicely. One of the neighbors put double slider on both interior sides of the door, the opening side and the hinge side. More security on both sides of the interior door, thought it was a good idea and that I would pass it along.

We have boxes of old tools, planes, hammers, you name it we got it. If you want a box it’s yours for the price of the shipping, I can’t do it free, we are a charity.
