Really good, top-spec review. I have to say that the production quality is simply insane! One thing I would say is that the old darker backdrop from 'Resolve Reviews' was way nicer than the current crop...Just saying......other than that, outstanding.

I did own the Tia fourté for 2 years as a daily IEM. Sold mine 2 months ago and i did not regret it. This industry is all about the hype, nothing else. The Tia fourté is Overkill price/performance. I just got used to it because of the price, i couldn't sell it for more then 2000usd, so i kept it. That's a big waste of money. If i could rewind time i would of went with the u18t.

@@chronometa i was looking for a lighter and more comfortable over ear than the lcd4 this morning. I don't use my overweight lcd4 all the time it's getting uncomfortable after about 2 hours. So I took some time to read about the Grado RS1e, they are so beautiful but how does it sound!? 😂 I'm in between RS1e or HD 800S.

I have really sensitive hearing. Anything intense or bright almost seems to be physically painful. I got a chance to listen to the autuer, and it didn't effect me negetively at all, and was a joy to listen to. Would you say that the Verite has similar easy listening properties? I'm looking to invest in some zmf's, since they're the only headphones that haven't effected my tinnitus or felt painful to listen to.

Arghhh haha. I like bass but my only experience is the Vmoda m100s and since getting the Tin Hifi T4s I cannot listen to the m100s as the mids are so lacking in comparison so detail is hidden. Add a thousand or so pounds haha and is it going to bother me? Or is detail not hidden even with the extra bass? The Tin Hifi T4s do NOT like increasing of volume though. Cymbals/hi hats etc start to feel forced but I do like the signature albeit I could do with a bit more bass for metal/rock. The u12t I think I'm leaning towards as a big step forward and maybe a final for a long time. You say they sound metallic at times?

I might make a KZbin video of Tia fourte soon, one thing I would add to your review is definitely the aftermarket cables. It will be a another IEM with a top notch hybrid gold cable. It worth every penny to get a 2600 USD Labkable Titan for Fourte, in that it will make Fourte sound like a $ 7200 IEM.

Fight among the flagships... how does it compare to the A8000 from Final Audio? I tend to find Japanese/Chinese IEMs being bright, such that the soprano sax can be uncomfortable to listen to.

Gotta be better. The a8000 and the Luna have overly bright treble that peaks way higher than the bass unfortunately.

They had better sound incredible, stellar, the best I've ever heard, wow these blew my Mind, nothing else comes close. Cmon they're 3 and a half grand. Really? The blon 3 for 26 dollars are not as good, but are pretty damn close. 3 and a half grand, as David Brent would say "you havin' a laugh'.

With all of this stuff, it just depends on how much you care about the improvement. To many people, the Blon 3 level is good enough. For others, they want every last little tiny bit of performance they can get, and for that they go for these higher priced products. I do agree with you though that prices for this stuff starts to get ridiculous above $1k, but remember that it's worth what the market is willing to pay, and they seem to think that's where it's at.

Bluetooth technology is, at least currently, incapable of reaching the level of audio quality provided by wired headphones. It's that simple. Wired headphones like that are not meant to be convenient workout headphones or anything. They're almost solely focused on providing a stellar audio experience.

Gotta love people talking about tuning and then none of them listened to a classical orchestra live probably and there is nothing absolutely nothing in the music that is more of a reference in timber then an classical orchestra.. the abundance of different instruments is just the best way of talking about tonality and timber Chords instruments have both harmonics in sound but also warmth and most of those so called flat sounding IEMs are horrible in reproducing the reality of sound.. It’s laughable that most of the reviewers of IEMs and headphones are listening only pop, rock and electronic music .. It’s impossible to judge natural sounding without the real instrumented of classical music..

Hmm interesting.I must admit, after I started making my own custom IEM's I quickly relized how insanely overpriced most of them are. I went to the audio show once to listen to 12 or 18 driver form 64 audio among others.I was seriously surprised that 64 audio sounded literally maybe 5% clearer ,more sparkly in top end and things like andromeda were blown away by my own set. So all in all I will never buy into the hype again :)

So over the years I've gained some experience.The process is quite long and it's not that I don't want to reveal it.Simply it would take me loads of time to explain it in details.Get on home made Iems topic on head fi forums. Plus watch some videos on you tube. Its really not that's difficult once you get hang of it.Tuning took me a while though.I remember I made 5 driver when only Westone and Jh Audio had them.So it's been over 10 years ago.Nowadays everyone makes them but I'm sure none would impress me really.

The difference with Solaris is 2K. Packaging is not even comparable to Solaris with its soft silver cable and a leather case. Do they sound x2+ better or did I miss a twisted turn of modern economic theory?

They don't have to sound 2x better. They only have to sound marginally better. Nothing in headphones is ever 2x better than the entry level benchmarks like the HD650 or Sundara. People pay crazy amounts for the smallest incremental improvements. They're worth what the market will bear, and if they're even a little bit better than the $2k flagships, people will buy them. In this case, for detail and stage, they're definitely better. For tonality, I'm not sure. I think I'd still prefer the U12T, but maybe someone else might want this kind of tuning.

Alex Hi Alex, ut could be a older demo model on offer possibly. If you are looking at 64 Audio in the future the best deal would be Canjam London, best discount I seen was 25% off with free impressions if you wanted custom version. However sadly with the virus situation that looks very unlikely this year unless they move it maybe six months forward. I agree the Solaris is a great IEM for its price, the problem being so many people have fit issues with it and it doesn't come in Custom form at present and probably can't be done because of the size of it. My friend of mine had the Solaris and paired it with his Sony WM1Z and did love the pairing, however he has now sold it after about four months of ownership because he could only wear it for a few hours and then it began to hurt his ears. Another friend of mine has a custom A12T and absolutely loves it, he did have a universal model previously but went custom and has no regrets purchasing his custom model. I myself have a custom A18t which I absolutely love, very detailed and technical IEM, with great soundstage. Not as much bass as the Legend X or maybe the Solaris but you hear when it is called for within the music. Also being custom so comfortable and no ear fatigue at all can listen all day. Plus no sound leakage in or out, even better when music starts to play. I fully agree with his excellent review on 64 Audio and Legend X. Keep yourself safe in these difficult times. Cheers Anthony

I myself caught the virus while attending the Bristol Hi Fi show in the UK, it took me four weeks to fully recover. Thanks for letting me know about Campfire Audio especially about the Solaris, I did see myself via the various channels about the release. I myself was looking forward to listening to them at Canjam London in July but this has obviously been cancelled because of the virus and will not return until next year. Depending if we get back to some normality Selfridges in London and HiFi Headphones near Brighton will have the new models to demo. I personally will want to demo them myself before making a purchase and will probably look to purchase the Andromeda and Solaris. Bloom Audio has already done a brief video, bad Guy has then into to review and so does Resolve now known as the Headphone Show. What are you listening to at present yourself? Dap, IEM or Headphone? Keep safe.

Give me a $300 pair of buds and a good mixer and I can satisfy anyones ear candy. This is just plain stupid.. Get a $300 bud set and help your neighbor or someone with a financial need.
