@@keres9580 if I remember correctly, i've seen a couple of videos by "aWiibo" showcasing specific courses that appear in over half of the MK game installments through already-existing modifications, and at least one of them had MK64. So yes, MK64 already has a certain amount of custim tracks. And a short while after I made my original comment here, I found out that even MKSC has custom tracks too. They just have yet to be minimapped properly, tho.

Double Dash is easily my favourite mechanically. But it has a *really* weak track selection. There is only roughly 2 or 3 tracks I am actively excited to play. Meanwhile with DS and 8 Deluxe I find the mechanics boring but track list really good. Modding in great tracks to Double Dash would be so wonderful.

Though, for Kart Racing/Power-Ups driving simulators standards(Diddy Kong Racing, Sonic Transformed, Blur, Sega All Stars Racing, Crash Nitro Fueled), the MK tracks are pretty basic. I always liked how unique the tracks looked and how some of them have unique mechanics or structure in Double Dash. However, I really wish tracks changed mid-race like Sonic Transformed or if there was more track specific mechanics like Crash Nitro Kart. Having more tracks won't hurt though! Wii customs like Melting Magma Melee, Snowflake City, and tracks from non-Mario kart games added a whole new level of excitement for me in that game. Having the deep and flexible mechanics of Double Dash on those circuits would be a dream come true!

@@Freefork The track changing is definitely a lot more important in Racing Transformed than any Mario Kart and it does lead to a lot of neat track design. But personally a lot of my favourite race tracks come from the Sonic Riders franchise. In my OG comment I was trying to restrict the conversation to Mario Kart. On the note of maps: For Double Dash there is Baby Park, DK Mountain, and I used to get hype about Daisy Cruise but now I find the track annoying. Otherwise every other track is super bland, or exceedingly annoying (idk anyone who likes Cheep Cheep Beach or the sherbet land.) Meanwhile Mario Kart DS has Waluigi Pinball, Delfino Square, Airship Fortress, Tick-Tock Clock, and they even bring back Baby Park & Choco Mountain. All of them have a strong identity and are super fun/recognizable. More specifically the reason I find Double Dash courses unengaging is because they rarely have a visual spectacle for you to engage in or unique yet fun obstacles. At this point I am enjoying Bowsers Castle and Wario Colloseum more despite them feeling BS at times because they at least have something for me to watch out for. Yoshi Circuit is just driving normally except if you have a mushroom you can take a mediocre shortcut, In mushroom city & bridge the cars are never really an obstacle, and in general there is very little spectacle/challenge to the tracks. I would just rather play Baby Park than Mario or Luigi's circuit because it feels like I am just driving in a normal circle either way, at least a Bowser Shell might hit me in Baby Park.

If I knew how to mod 1) replace daisy with her melee trophy model 2) replace mario with Stanley the bugman (melee trophy model again) 3) finally add DKJr back into the game either by melee trophy model or if a remaining model exists of him in game) 4) replace peach with Pauline 5) give waluigi a foreman Spike inspired costume 6) Retexture wario to give him the white and blue/black look from his GB days 7) replace boswer jr with one of the Koopalings, probably wendy 8) recolor characters like Toad (or change him to toadsworth), Yoshi, Birdo, Toadette, the koopas, and give king boo his Luigi's mansion appearance
