Hey Shaun, thanks for video 👌. I think coins with Roman numerals are interesting 🙆♂️. Btw, I heard on your videos many times about trading/selling stamps etc, I’m still unsure what it means 🙏, maybe you could do a video explaining how it works 🙏, sorry if I sound ignorant , but education is key🙆♂️. Thanks 🎉

So right about legacies. Keep an up-to-date spreadsheet so your spouse and children know the approximate values, especially valuable proofs. Talk to them and explain why some pieces are worth double, treble or quadruple spot price.

I think it is of the utmost importance that this is done.

"Helvetia" is only the Latin name for Switzerland. The girl on the coin as well as the coin itself are being called "Vreneli" in the German speaking world, as Vreneli is Swiss-German dialect for the common Swiss first name Verena

Regarding Spanish gold coins, the republican government sent much of the nation's gold reserves to the USSR for safe keeping during the civil war, and to pay for Soviet weapons. Not surprisingly, the gold was never returned. That may be one reason why Spanish gold coins are more scarce than their mintage would indicate. There's an interesting Wikipedia article on the subject (see "Moscow gold").

*Please note* One of the 5 dollar coins will be going to the melting pot as it is not the genuine article :)

Hi Shaun, watching your video on my way to work in Australia!! What were the indicators the $5 was not genuine? I had a pre33 $5 that looked good ,but XRF at 93% gold and 3% silver 4% copper and diameter slightly smaller ,,most likely a middle eastern counterfeit made from real gold ( in this case higher purity!) Thanks mate love the videos !

@@tybenger5287it may have been made from a U.S. Gold Eagle. I had a 1912 $5 Indian that fooled the shop I bought it from, but came back from PCGS as counterfeit. The shop refunded every cent I had in it, which I took as a store credit. But yeah, some fakes are made from gold eagles.
