Nowadays, most of service manuals from new DC inverter air conditioners go as far as "if this than replace that board...". So, I'd recommend to study older models and general principles of core power electronics involved in DC Inverter type of air conditioner and then analyze your new model. Also, modern day ACs involve "modern" or more sophisticated types of drive algorithms (FOC vector controlled PM BLDC control) so keep that in mind, especially if you use an oscilloscope to observe waveform of output voltage on motor windings.
