I’ve seen people pull 16” shocks with 63s. Consider adding a limit strap so you don’t blow the 12s since they’re now your limiting factor.

@@66Duffman weird, KZbin deleted my comment. Anyways, look into bilstein 5125. They can be bought in 14” length at $120 a piece. Marlin crawler has some for sale.

For the front hangars do you just make the center of them even with the center of the frame? What if you are slight out from one side to the other , will the tires get uneven wear? Great video!!

Came out great, definitely sitting nice and level, I like that Ruff Stuff kit , wouldn't mind a Military Wrap but you can always carry extra main leafs and duct tape 😀 my first gen taco doesn't have those weird upside down shackles, TG! Actually every time I watch you work on your 3rd gen, I love my 1st gen a little more, those new Tacos 🌮 are really full size trucks 🛻 and I do love them, I just love my Toyota Minitrucks a little more, in the future, I'll probably go older Toyota like the Mighty Winchers, but like the saying goes "You can't go wrong buying a Toyota" Great video D , Looking forward to the " OVERLANDING " video #worstjeepclubever Love ya brother, keep up the good work!

So, what’s the weight that this rear setup can handle safely? Fully loaded and carrying a tent full time I have about 750 lbs extra in the back of my 17 Tacoma. Weight would be my issue. Or do I go with shorter shackle and a heavier load spring?
@66Duffman
@66Duffman 11 ай бұрын
Idk the weight rating, but with my setup I’ve had the truck fully loaded up with gear/tools/RTT and have no issues when hitting trails

Hey man ! Ok watch this video like 5 times over the last few months. Getting my springs tomorrow hopefully. But i got two questions. You installed the Lowrange off-road kit but then linked the RuffStuff Specialties. Which one do I go with and where do I get that box in the back that you said was not included in the kit? Where do I get that rear spring mount perch thing? Please help!! Thank you!!

So if lift blocks are no good for off-road is it possible to eliminate the 6” lift bocks from the rear and just have leaf springs as your suggesting?

@@yatusabes909 New springs that give that much lift will be very expensive which is why the cheapest solution to fit bigger tires is a block lift or a combo of both. Springs with that much lift will probably ride rough if you don't also change shackle lengths.

Sweet content and unique as usual, not my builds but going to throw this out there anyways. If someone is willing to permanently change there to coma like welding on the frame and such, or do coils after all that has been done to the truck already why not just Fork out the money to do a solid axle swap from the get-go? Just saying would be neat .
@66Duffman
@66Duffman Жыл бұрын
I definitely agree…I think in this case it’s hard to apply that logic since we’re working on the rear axle and this 63 swap honestly wasn’t very pricey…I’m the future when I decided to cut up the front end I’ll definitely be doing a solid axle swap rather than long travel
