The concrete probably cracked because it needed a control joint from the corner of that drainage channel right across where it cracked. You should put control joints at the specified distance depending on the thickness of the slab like you've done and also where there is an L shape in the concrete as the corner creates a stress riser. Concrete will always crack but by putting a control joint it tells the concrete where to crack.

I mow yards solo and enjoy the hell out of it. Closest I can get to farming again since breaking my legs. Speaking of lawn service...how bout pushing decent sized rocks instead of mulch in the beds? Would you make more off it vs mulch? I know from a maintenance perspective it's much easier not worrying about blowing mulch out of beds all the time. Grass'll just fly past bigger rocks but there wouldn't be a reason to come back a remulch either so may be worth more on the front end but maybe long term make less? Thanks for the content man.
