So, what does the G Power website tell us before we get too enthusiastic. 2142 eur ECU unlock, in order to write the software. 3494 eur engine software: never ever seen such a steep price. 5360 eur mandatory downpipes. Consider this when watching the vid.

Branding has a lot to do with it. A lot of people would rather pay than tinker by themselves. We all know that we can get this power for a fraction of the price, but it wouldn't be a g-power.

@CasparPietersen Most people don't get rich cause they don't care about being ripped off. All I posted were prices. The interpretation is up to everyone. Unlock by Femto in Finland is incl Shipment less than 1000 Eur. The rest seems to be pure profit that G Power charges. Make up your own mind if you like that or not. And as I posted here several times, Firmware updates overwrite the unlock. I wouldn't be surprised if G Power charged you for re unlocking and re writing again. Let alone the trip you need to make to their workshop. So is this really about being able to afford, or is it about 'no way I am up for that'?

Traded in my X3MC for the X5 M60i, I love it! so much comfort and power, I just wish the throttle response was more aggressive. The sport plus mode is so useless, Comfort has all the power and smoothness

I totally agree that 50i line is more suitable for daily use. Choosing between f90 m5 and m550i I came to same conclusion, that m5 was way too harsh for daily driving. Of course the price tag played its role, for the price of pre lci m5 on secondhand market I got lci m550i that was fully specced and also in this lovely deep green color. And u don't need G-Power to run your 50i faster then the M competition, guys from RG-performance in Belgium did very good job just with tune on inlet/intake, miltek exhaust with fast flow caths - 770hp and 1010nm in combination with lighter wheels and bigger but still lighter ebc brake kit it smokes f90 m5 stage 1+ 😊. And it sounds way better then the m5. Having the same s58 engine I still can go for hybrid turbo's and make additional power if I want to. So 50i is indeed a better car overall.

The new x5, generally the new bmw's are crap interior wise with the big screens and everything touchscreen with the apps🤢 This one is so beautyful with the smaller ones and love the real buttons, it makes it a lot easier while driving
