Not saying this will happen but 2 years ago the Lions beat Rodgers and the Packers in his final Green Bay game and that win started the Lions winning culture. At least the Bears didn’t lay down and give up and that’s hopefully something.

😂😂😂 not all things are equal! The lions were winning before that going 8-2 over last 10 games of the season. Going into Greenbay and keeping them from making the playoffs while Rodgers was playing for something is not the same as the Bears beating the Packers in a some what meaningless game when Love didn't even play the 2nd half and needing a last 2nd field goal to do it. Oh, not to mention you still need to find a coach, that was Campbell's 3rd season, the culture had been a work in progress long before that game.

The McASSkeys are the problem. There were reports that Poles wanted Harbaugh but was shot down. No clue if that's true or not. The only chance we have of hiring the right coach is if George and the McASSkeys 'lock themselves in a closet' until the new coach is hired.

As a big fan of Olin, I would strongly suggest the Bears find a place for him to offer input and guidance on what needs to happen. Him and Lance Briggs both should have some role in the org.

Great observations by Olin. Throughout this season I kept wondering about the lower level "specialists" in the organization. Why are our o-linemen constantly injured? Why do they keep just getting steamrolled? Our o-line just seems weak and fragile. Who is responsible for strength and conditioning? For health and training? I realize injuries happen but this year was just crazy. Like Olin said, we need to look beyond just the head coach. The entire organization seems to be failing from top to bottom.

A culture mistake is to avoid listening to voices like Olin. You don't have to do what he says. But you need to hear someone not kissing your ass. You need to hear someone who isn't afraid to critique every thing passionately. Poles is too easily impressed. Focus on discipline. Everyone doing their job to a bare minimum standard and that standard must be higher than it has been. Folks need to all be on the same page. Understand the assignments. Attention to detail. Passion is great, but look at Jaylon Johnson. He is all about honing his craft. A technician that focuses on being the most technically sound. And looks at his flaws and works to improve them. He isn't perfect but he's probowl level because of it. Then look at Stevenson who is distracted by the attention of fans. Who is distracted by the trash talk of opponents. His talent carries him. They need to get him more disciplined and focused.

i can tell you what’s broken. - the bears cannot scout, draft and develop offensive players. whose our best late round offensive player? moone? cohen? the rams got puka and kyren williams in one draft last year. We don’t hire offensive coaches. payton, reid, shanny, mcvay, etc are the class of the NFL. we need someone like that. - they over rely on defense. - they spent too much draft capital on line backer and RB and those positions went out of style 50 years ago when bill walsh brought in the west coast offense. - they have wasted too much draft capital to get their qb. 2 firsts on cutler. 2 firsts on fields. extra picks on mitch. this has given them even less capital to build a team. just hire an offensive coach and let poles do his job. he’s done a great job.
@DanielWoodall-v1x
@DanielWoodall-v1x 21 күн бұрын
How can you say Poles has done a good job? You made good points - Puka is a 5th rounder. Meanwhile, Poles can't even hit in the 3rd round - Pichens, Amegadje, Velus Jones. And Pichens was at the top of the 3rd round whereas Puka was at the bottom of the 5th. Olin mentioned that Seattle got a decent Left Tackle in the 3rd round right after the Velus Jones pick. I believe Washington got a good tackle this year in the 3rd round as well. The Bears never get finds like that.

@@DanielWoodall-v1x Poles took over the WORST organization in the NFL. he took over a team with no first round pick, awful justin fields as his QB, Tevin jenkins and james daniel as his only olineman and a 30 YO khalil mack on Dline. There is no team currently in the NFL as bad as the Bears team that poles took over. not one. The titans have the #1 pick, skoranksi and JC Latham on oline and jefery simmons, sweat and landry on dline. that shows you how awful the bears were at QB, dline & oline when poles took over. In 3 years he's gotten us a franchise QB, 2 #1 WR's, a great RT, sweat, Dexter, gordon and brisker. thats a GREAT job. As far as i'm concerned, poles is a miracle worker. people dont realize how awful the bears were. The bears need 4-6 players. We have all our picks + another 2nd from carolina and 80M to spend. so they should be able to get those 4-6 players this off season. we are not losing more players over the next 5 years than picks we have. thats ideal. We should have won 9 games last year but blew 2 leads We should have won 11 games this year but our coaching was again awful If poles get the next coach right (any coach this cycle will be better than flus. johnson, coen, vrabel, carrol, flores) we'll be in better position than we've been in 40 years. he almost cant miss at coach.
@DanielWoodall-v1x
@DanielWoodall-v1x 20 күн бұрын
@@shake6321 If Justin was so bad, why did Poles keep him? Bryce Young is starting to look like the prospect that deserved the #1 selection. Remember, acquiring Caleb was LUCK. Nobody thought Carolina was going to be THAT bad. Some even thought they had a shot at the division last year. And why did Poles not at least TALK to Jayden? The arrogance to just assume Caleb is the best QB in the draft without talking to Jayden borders on gross negligence/incompetence. Montes Sweat - Didn't he only have like 4 sacks? You could argue that Sweat is another bad move - he wasted draft capital on an above average, but not elite D-lineman. Meanwhile, the Vikings are able to acquire Van Ginkel and Grenard in free agency, not wasting draft capital. Both players are better than Sweat. Dexter - He's OK but you could have addressed the O-line there. I would have preferred Jalen Carter over Wright (I wouldn't say he's great - if he's great, why didn't he make the Pro Bowl)? If you take Carter, then you can draft O-line instead of taking Dexter and whiffing on Pichens. DJ Moore is overrated and I think that contract is going to hurt them going forward. Dude is not a great route runner and, again, did not make the Pro Bowl so I wouldn't say he's a sure fire #1 WR. Odunze remains to be seen. It doesn't take much intelligence to draft Odunze at #9. And I would rather he drafted Bowers so we'd have the future best TE in football. And these are the moves you like. We're not even talking about the free agent busts of Tremaine Edmunds and Nate Davis. Yes, Poles inherited a mess but he's had 3 years to clean it up and only one Probowler to show for it. You say the Bears need 4-6 players - why should we trust Poles to be able to pick those players? Are we going to waste 80M in cap space on another Tremaine Edmunds? Last but not least, you mention all the blown leads. Who hired Flus? You say the coach is can't miss - well, if anyone can miss at coach, it's the Bears. Poles is already talking up the Giants OC. Yes, that's right, the OC of the 3-14 Giants! But Poles knew him in KC so therefore he must be awesome according to Poles.

@@DanielWoodall-v1x He had no other options but to keep fields. he had no first round pick. So he let fields tank and we got the #1 pick. then, poles was smart enough to realize that the 2024 class was loaded so it was better going after those guys than bryce. Aquiring williams was luck. but had it not been williams it would have been daniels, maye, penix, nix. i read somewhere that one of the reason why the bears suck is we've spent so much draft capital on QB: 2 picks for cutler. 2 picks for fields. extra picks for mitch. Poles got us a QB for FREE. that alone will ensure the Bears are a play off type team for years. if caleb and the coach are great then we can really be something special.

@@DanielWoodall-v1x i think most people would agree that Poles has brought in a lot of talent. Again, its not easy to acquire talent. there arent a bunch of great DE just waiting to be signed. hunter and dre'mont jones are the only FA DE's that have been signed. and both rejected the bears. same goes for any position. i agree carter and pickens were the better talents. but pickens does have major red flags. i think poles is fine. let him learn from his mistakes. 50% of a gms moves are going to be busts. poles is way better than that. thats the nature of sports. but poles has made 4 very very good trades which have more than made up for his bad moves. - mack for a second rounder (which was gordon, i believe) - roquon for a second rounder (which was Dexter + the money to sign edmonds and edwards) - Bryce young for 6 players (caleb, wright, moore, stevenson, torry taylor & a 2nd rounder this year) - a 2nd for Sweat. And poles doesnt value running backs and linebackers like our last 10 GM's. and he values QB's and WR's unlike any bears GM ever. so we'll be fine. The team is set up perfectly. its up to the players to perform. and hopefully, the Bears are serious about paying for a legit coach. but with our cheap ownership, you never know. we could indeed end up with a 5 million dollar coach who was friends with poles.

With a win over the Packers, I don't believe the Bears don't need to change anything.

MR BROWN WOULD BE CHEAPER, MANAGEMENT WILL NEVER HIRE HIM FOR HC... BUT HE IS A SKILLED OC... AND SHOULD GET A RAVING RECOMMENDATION....the Bears are such a dysfunctional organization... needs stability for the nxt 8 yrs not 4 yrs as normal....

With Bears ownership and Weak POLES, they want a yes man for head coach! Not what the Bears need!
