Good memories. If someone can't get out with a VW bug, you can't get out. I didn't realize the new dog was from the pound. In my opinion, the best way if someone wants a dog for the family. The stained-glass turtle will be adorable. Impressed!

My first VW was a 1952 ? split window while I was in based in Germany. Cable operated brakes and no heat, still it was a great car and when the engine died, I only had to go to the base auto shop to get another off the junk pile, I got to where I could do a engine swap in under 45 minutes. I've had four more since then and all were great cars. I miss the beetle!

i have been watching your beetle vids, good stuff, getting old stuff running sure can be fun, I have my eye on an old bug that's been sitting outside for a few years, not sure what left that's good, its free if I want it and comes with papers, I also hear stories of an old split window van sitting up in the mountains, I hear you could throw a cat through it anywhere, but now after watching your vids I better go check that out to, thanks for your effort.

Another fine job on an old bug. You said you were going to hit it with 2 in 1 rust converter. I had a very bad experience using that stuff, after one year the acid in that stuff began leaching through the paint. I did let it dry good for One week. I'll Never never use that product on my vehicles. Just made a ton more work on my frames I restored. Just a word of caution.

A suggestion, when you moved the rug out of the way, there was some surface rust, you couldsome black paint or some sticky insulation to replace that original insulation, plus it would serve as a sound deadner, regarding the fastback,I believe you can take the body of the chassis, give it a proper restoration,, that would also serve as a vlog or video since you don*t see many fastbacks anymore.

Mustie1 and everyone. Remember they are now selling Flex seal by the gallon. White and black color. I just did a Concrete pool's concrete hot with the stuff over the winter here in Arizona. Stuff is working amazing. Should say the concrete had very small surface pits from years of wear. No major cracks . Would be perfect for a car floor interior re coat. Found it went on better using 2" rubber trowel than a paint brush. But brush for any hard to reach areas. Also completely pre wash with Alcohol. Seemed to make the product stick in place. One more thing. bought mine at the local Ace in the paint department.
