Random European Guy, you have me so pumped about these OM606 engines! lol. I'm in the states and the cummins is far more available, but so damn expensive. There are fewer of these engines here, but they are cheaper from what I've seen. Really considering throwing one of these in a work truck.

To bad we don’t have shops and mechanics here in America that can do swaps like these Gentlemen. I have a 1995 sw124 Mercedes Benz wagon black on black with the a nice stance on MB’s and I been searching for some experts or skilled Mercedes’ guys out here in Atlanta Ga for the last six months. I have a few leads and I also linked with the Mercedes-Benz swap shop guy name Josh who’s been a huge help! So far next year things should start moving forward but if guys this was local it would be much easier. Appreciate you for sharing your expertise on this channel.

I've just bought my second 99 E300 with 216000 miles. Runs beautifully. I want to use them for my boat engines. Have the cooling all figured out. Can you make an adapter for a marine transmission housing. It's a velvet drive V-drive. Also how hard is it to overhaul the engines. I'd like to do that before I install them. Great channel.

Hello, I have owned and love mercedes diesel. Great channel and work. Depending on transmission, differential gearing, and tyre size, what would probably be highest GVWR and/or GCWR that om606 can handle? Let's say if set up for between 235 and 425hp? I have been following your videos, projects, and products for sale. I know for sure where I will be looking to for performance parts, adapters, etc. Keep up the great work!

If you already have the tdi, I'd say stick with that, but if you have no motor, then I would start out with a Mercedes diesel.. If you do go the tdi route, the wiring isn't as intimidating as you would think, and there are companies that offer harness work..

I sold my G300TD (OM606) a few years ago. A awesome G, indeed. Now I just bought a G270CDI SWB. What can we do to put it with more power and torque without changing the gearbox and keeping the electronics saving as much money as we can? We can work the exaust, the ECU, maybe some changes more like the turbo, no? I want to keep it reliable and frugal, because its my new daily driver. Do you have any experience on those, Luke?

What kind of mileage might one expect? Been tweaking my C1500, 4.3 on the way to 300/300, hp& torque. Not sure kilowatts or newtonmeters. But I am sure it will get about 1/2 the mpg as the OMB606 would at double the power.
