I completely agree. I have been checking the air conditioner and fridge market, and Samsung and LG are coming out as some of the worst brands ever. They are tech brands, to begin with and so they add a lot of useless techs and don't produce goods that actually function the way they are meant to function. People go after name-brands that are popularized by Indian celebs and extreme amount of ads. I would recommend this fridge cause I have seen it in foreign countries too. Kitchen Aid, a very popular brand for Kitchen appliances also has fridges that last for 20yrs or so. A Samsung and LG will never last that long. Samsung and LG also have the linear compressor technology issue and apparently, it gets really bad. A lot of technicians also don't know the issues sometimes cause the companies change the schematics for new models all the time and the technicians are not updating themselves. The more "complex and advanced" features a fridge has, the more it's gonna break down. LG has the most breakdowns. I would recommend this fridge, or if you have the resources to buy a Kitchen Aid one, that's great too. Also, the ice maker, where people are asking for the type where a ton of ice is produced quick, fridges with that feature are known to break down much faster for some reason. So just make your own ice with ice molds, not to mention it's healthier as you are using your own water, and only the cold air is hitting the mold-covered ice. The automatic ones that make large portions, directly mix with the coolant gas, which can cause cough and cold in many people.

Actually, it was revealed a lot of fridges with the ice maker by plumbing have more issues. As such it's best to go for one that doesn't have that feature.

Plastic ice trays take mere minutes to fill, seconds to rinse once in a while, and you can store ice in a ziplock bag or plastic container with lid to avoid food odors in the cubes. The only moving part is YOU.

@@bingojamas4786 Exactly. Our fridge is extremely basic no ice maker nothing and already broke down within a year. It's even a single door fridge. No ice maker. No temperature control. None of that. The inside light broke three times and freezer door at the top broke at the hinges 6 times already. And it leaked so many times. We clean our fridge and de-frost it very regularly. Repair man: "Ma'am. They don't make it like they did before. Now everything is made to break as soon as the warranty period is over" I am from India India. Godrej brand fridge. And this brand is advertised as "One of the best" They are known for making the best safe to store valuables in. But they ventured into electronics. Especially fridges. Wish they stuck to making safe. Ofc LG Samsung whirlpool all the fancy brands with their fancy fridges washing machines ovens: All break down even more. The sales ppl themselves: "Ma'am it's all electronics. We cannot predict when it's gonna break". The companies thrive on planned death of these machines. And cost an arm and leg to buy them. If they are gonna break anyway, why are they so expensive???
