Today Tony and I are taking a look at a firewood bundler that he just got!.

Up a bit in price, like everything now, but still under 900. Got one today as a birthday present from my wife. Manufacturer says you need a loading dock or fork truck to unload it. I have neither. Driver and I both grabbed a side and unloaded it easy. Worse case, I would have cut the straps and unloaded the 3 pieces by hand. Seems like a very nice unit. I should get easier bundles than the wooden one I built.

Awesome purchase Tony! I own one as well and live close by to the Amish who actually make them. I went into their shop and checked everything out and they are some very helpful folks. Their best advice to me was to not place your hand on the left handle of the bundler frame if you are bundling and to preferably bundle one handed. As the bundle wrap stretcher makes it’s way around it can easily pinch your left hand and cause a pretty good owwee let’s just say. Best of luck and bundle away. I too couldn’t resist such a great deal on a bundler and it was just a given for me being so local to their shop. GNI 👍Thanks for another great video Chris!

Tony has the toys, you make the videos and it cost us a lot of money lol with the viewers wanting new toys. Got to up the firewood production. Never made bundles, but in my area some people make 400-500 more dollars for bundle wood compared to cord wood. Especially those who do the road side stands. I had found a bundler exactly like this on facebook marketplace a couple years ago. A guy and his son made it as a welding project in their shop. It's exactly the same as yours except it has a belt drive. I paid $400 for it. The belt drive was just fine for wrapping bundles. I really had to jerk the handle to make it slip.

Hi Chris - it's Big Rodders in Ireland. I like your logic, instead of spending your own money get somebody else to test out equipment first! On a more serious note, I imagine Health & Safety regulations over here would require the chain and sprockets to be guarded before sale to the public. Get Tony to check out Joe in Ohio Wood Burners - he produced a couple of bundle wrap videos in which he discusses the various shrink wrapping options and the reasons for his preference.

@@InTheWoodyard Reputation! We are known for selling quality and seasoned wood. If it does not meter correctly it stays stacked. I took sample bundles to campsites and gave them to try. I literally had someone call me less then half hour after I left the sample bundle and price list. I was slightly more expensive then their current supplier but they could not believe how easy my wood started burning. Yesterday I got a call from a bait store that is friends with two campsites and am meeting him at 11 am today to discuss supplying him and his wife's store. They sell close to 1,000 bundles a month in summer. One thing that I am doing differently other then selling seasoned wood is going around and restocking the campsites every thursday/Friday. Their busy days are the weekend so they have full racks ready to sell. Most pay with either cash/check or with debit card as soon as I am done. Might seem like alot of extra work but I am bundling 400 a week. Once we can bundle faster I am going to start talking to the independently owned convience stores (mom & pops stores). Every week when I been delivering to the campsites I been making a list of where they are and which has wood for sale. Might even supply them a rack to hold firewood as an incentive.

I need more jokes man. I'm not here for the wood. I was waiting for you guys to build the bundler and go outside to flip the building to get it to turn. 2 Minnesota Rappers 😀, lol. Turn your hats around for goodness sake....Thanks for the heads up. I could really use one of those.
