Idk if you realize you said on the eagle rings you can tighten them as much as you want and they won't brake. That is why their are torque specs. If 80-90 percent bolt heads brake off , maybe you should try proper torque specs. Food for thought. I still learn a lot from you just a thought. Ex-tech sorry had to torque everything for a reason.
@68Whiskey3 жыл бұрын
You are absolutely right. No argument i should use the torque specs. But i dont. I crank em hard. The eagle bolts break. The fx ones dont. Just an observation from use of many. I torque the scope bolts itself but not the pic rail bolt

@68Whiskey3 жыл бұрын
Lol. Pondering
@heithwatkins3 жыл бұрын
Higher reg pressure. Then you will have a rise in fps as the gun comes off the reg. But also a lower SD and ES before the rise. Lower reg pressure will have a slope downward coming towards the end of reg pressure. It will usually have a higher SD and ES. If you wanted to set up the rifle and forget about it. Id take scenario with the higher reg.

I have the slug kit in it as well ernest rowe dual transfer port I get 3 full mags on those settings.. I did have it on 145 bar pw on 3 shooting about the same fps but only getting 2 1/2 mags out of that tune ... ernest rowe told me higher is better because it causes less stress on the gun..this air gun is so versatile it gets a lil confusing for me ... on where to have it set at. But im pretty happy where it's at I don't have any permissions to go pest at I just shoot on my 4 acre property in the out skirts of town thanks tho
@heithwatkins3 жыл бұрын
@@chrisfigueroa3361 It sounds like your working it all out. If the reg is set high in relation to the hst. You can increase the hst until the rise in fps before falling off the reg is minor. This wilI lower shot count. But it will also increase power and have a tighter shot string. You can also lower the reg to more evenly match the hst. Although this will have more SD and ES usually. But shot count will increase. It's all about tuning to what you personally like. Some people tune to be able to shoot a wider variety of pellets, while leaving settings untouched. Others tune to perform excellent with high fps slugs and nothing else. Have fun. Never worry too much about it.

Thanks in advance man. Keep up the great work.

Im always dubious of compact guns shooting slugs. It can work but it is hard to get them going fast enough in my experience. For slugs i would rather see a sniper version bullpuo to keep length down. But for 130 yards, a 30 cal pellet will do the job nicely. Lot easier to tune, cheaper to shoot, and more accurate most of the time. If you were into pellets id say get the mav 30 compact and have a blast killing out to 150

What's the name of the hollow point slugs that you use? Where can they be purchased?

We use fx hybrids in the maverick. You can buy them at utah airguns

Good night, buddy. I'm Ricardo from Portugal and I follow your channel. I want to ask you a question: Which do you prefer in Cal.22? FX Impact or Marverick?
@68Whiskey3 жыл бұрын
I like the double reg a lot. The impact may be able to beat it but they are so close i go mav for the performance for the dollar

Sorry about the beginning. I missed the WD40 product that you are using. What was it?

Its their silicon spray
@ragtailt37sol50 Жыл бұрын
@68. Whiskey. Thank you for your response. In the video you were moving the spray can alot and I couldn't see exactly what you had. I only caught the WD40 part. I can't believe you responded to my question since your video is a year old. But I enjoy your videos. I've taken the plunge and have been upgrading my Impact M3 that I picked up in January of this year. Just don't tell my spouse. Aloha!

If you’ve covered this before, I apologize, but since the Mav is less expensive than the Impact, what do you give up picking the Mav?

The valve adjuster and the high capacity mag. But no accuracy. I absolutely love mine

Thank you. I really like the dual regs and I think the Mav will be my next FX.
