When using that kind of spray glue it's like using contact cement. You have to put it on BOTH surfaces, let tack, then stick together. (If you want it to last) The way you did it is exactly how a crew in Florida did it when I was sent down to see what the problem was. Humidity was causing it to release. The crew had no clue why. I looked at what they were doing, and was exactly like you did. Barely put some on one surface and stuck it. I applied it liberally to Both surfaces, wait till tacky, stuck together, and BoOM.... No more problems. That carpet WILL start to release one day with in a year. Just the season change (drastic change in temp) will do it.

@@413x398 gotta let it leg up. Put it down, pull it up. If you see strings of glue called "legs" you are tacky. Got to read the can. But contact works that way.

@@chriseudy4684 I leased out a part of my shop to a pro level upholsterer back in the 80's. I had him cover my customers' subwoofer boxes in various materials, and I picked up many little tips and tricks in the process. The double spray was one of them.

Our family car growing up was a 1966 Mustang, and the seats in those aren't too great. But when I got my 1968 Camaro, I was shocked to realize that the seats in it were worse than the Mustang's! I went from the original seats, to some from a boneyard out of an early 80s Camaro, and finally to a set of Recaro Sport seats. But they turned out to be no more fire resistant than the rest of the car.

My wife and I have talked about resto-modding one of the late 60’s(68 or 69) like this but using a BMW 535xi for the drive system. AWD, 6 speed and straight 6 power plant with 300hp/tq that can push 500rwhp with minor minor work on the turbos and still get over 25mpg too! It’d be nice to have the AWD and simple BMW system. I work on BMW so they are easier to me because that is what I know best and have tooling for

They call this modernized? LT4/T56 engine combo with DSE front and rear suspension would have been appropriate. Modern Camaro seats and one piece headliner is modern mods. The paint job looks cheap and unappealing. This is a iconic car that wasn't given the modern touch. This reminds me of the early 2000's.
