That burnout was totally badass... The car sounded tight and crisp and clean... Listening to it breathe in between the gears... what a beautiful sound that big block makes... Thank you for such a nice post there's nothing like a Mopar big block when its being put through its gears... nothing... nothing in the world like that sound...belly roar of a big block mope...yes yes yes...

Not!!! R/Ts had 2 tail lights, the third one is simulated, its part of the trim piece that is normally on these cars, I took mine off becuase its bent up! This is the real deal, 18 spline hemi 4 speed, 3.54 gear dana60 rear, ramcharger hood, the whole 9 yards.

I bought a 68 Coronet RT 440 with an automatic trans for $500 back around 1975. That's right,, a 7 year old muscle car for $500. about 6 mos in, I blew up the trans, and the car sat for another 6 mos, and finally sold for scrap. I was 18. In all the years since I have never owned anything that cool, or that fast. I should be ashamed of myself. I am.

@flashy5150
@flashy5150 7 жыл бұрын
I agree, those parts can be separated from the tail. They were only made of plastic and attached, so that taillight panel could be re-attached at anytime. Also, some owners used to take them off because it made the car look more "sporty", or like a "Super-Bee", which didn't have the full-length plastic thing. I've always liked both the "Super Bee" and the R/T. The R/T actually had more chrome strips on the side of the car too. I know Coronets, Chargers, Road Runners and all of their decendends, like the Sattelite and GTX. I build models of these cars, never owned one, but I've researched all of them, ask me anything. Cheers

He did his burnout but what happened to second gear? If he really knew how to shift he should have been able to keep the tires smoking right through the 1-2 shift instead of the double clutch big rig shifting he’s doing. That’s the true mark of someone that can shift a stick.
