This truck is pretty nice. I come from NY and these just rotted away.

@@danachick6898 Well that's a nice one. I remember those hoods rotting like that. If they only painted them right! I had a '79 Chevy and the leading edge rotted. The steel was pretty lousy then too. Fluid film helps a lot on these. I drill the rockers and spray them, works good. Over the rear fenders too. I'll be watching to see what you do. Like the color and the white roof.

@brianmatthews9697 thanks, it might be a bit before I start tearing into it, but definitely keeping the boxwood green with the white roof.

Nice Collection Dana! think hard about rebuilding the FE. mine was 8k + all done for my 66 F100. wish I had done a coyote swap honestly. Cheers!

The ford's are expensive to rebuild, the problem is that motor has roller rockers and other goodies that's hard to walk away from, so I'm honestly just looking for another block with pistons and use all those parts.

The buyer :" I started looking for all things" ( defects ). There are plenty of new trucks at the dealers with no irregularities. You know ! let me know if you want to sell it, as is.
@danachick68988 күн бұрын
@user-ez7hx4vr7e It is tempting to put a price on it, that concrete was a considerable set back. I just don't know if I'm ready to sell it. I feel like the crazy cat lady with vehicles sometimes. I will eat top roman while I drop 3k in car parts!

SEE IT'S A 69 FORD P/U 55 - 65 MPR THAT'S IT / YOU F IT UP AFTER REBUILDING THE MOTOR TWO TIMES WTF ?
@danachick689810 күн бұрын
Well, I can't control the push rod breaking and destroying a roller rocker things happen. I don't drive my vehicles hard by no means, I've gotten alot of grief in the past how I baby my rigs. The truck just felt good that day I was just stretching her legs to say, the motor was definitely not screaming. The water pump went out and yet I still take responsibility for the motor, all reality, if I wasn't on the interstate, I probably could have stopped in time and again if I was going a tad slower in the slow lane. If anyone has never done anything stupid in the world of automotive by all means through the first stone!

You pointed out all the flaws you found on it when you were negotiating with the seller. IT'S A 55 YEAR OLD TRUCK. What did you expect?
@danachick68986 күн бұрын
@user-vq7bv8kd7o Yes, I completely understand the age of the truck. If it's advertised and priced as better than it displays, you better believe I'm going to point out the obvious. Now, like I said, I was very respectful and willing to walk away as a buyer. Today I'm glad I purchased it as the price on these classic trucks have really gone up in value. So to answer your question I expected it to be what was advertised as. Key word negotiating, I wasn't negotiating I was walking away. I could understand how it could be perceived that I was out looking to lowball the guy, however that wasn't the case. Thanks
