Always wanted to go to Lakeland because I believe it’s so lovely and peaceful I’ve been looking on the haven site for a weekend break in October and I can get a caravan for £125 which is brilliant your caravan is looking good after watching your video I might just book because I love ❤️ it when it’s so peaceful thank you 🙏 for sharing your video it looks nice 👌

I stayed at Doniford bay, a Bronze 3 bed Caravan a couple of weeks ago. Bluetooth speakers in the caravan so you could stream movies to the Smart TV and have surround sound *** AWESOME *** Brought the Switch along so we could play games on the TV as a family if the weather was bad. We had a dishwasher of all things !! It was clean and large It's right by the sea, BUT it was a shingle/rock beach - so we went crabbing, shell hunting. Great place for dog owners. OK it's in the middle of nowhere - but we went to Brean Leisure park, Tropiquaria, etc, so as long as you are willing to travel - - this is best as a place of stay and then go places. It had entertainment. Indoor and outdoor pool, Amusements, play parks. They too are renovating adding more things to the site.

when i was a kid in the 60s i lived in grange the park was a old airfield built in the first world war to build airships vickers in barrow did it there was a clay pigion shooting club on there i was a member the jackobs garden gun club and i learnt to drive on there must do a road trip this year and take my drones i live doon south now

I went here a month ago, already wishing i was back.. I stayed in a deluxe caravan but it was black and white, it was really nice! But a lot of the food there is a rip off, especially the fish and chip shop. But Papa Johns and Lakeside me were fabulous. Haven is a really astonishing place to me.

We went last weekend, we went in a silver one but this bronze one looks lovely. Much better than the Parkdean one in East Riding..we went to via the Sun Holidays (Withernsea is where dreams go to die ha!)

We went to the parkdean one at Skipsea a couple of years ago through the sun holidays and that one wasn't too bad. We had a look at the Withernsea one prior to booking so it sounds like we had a lucky escape 👍🏼

I think I might avoid Withernsea then. Skipsea sands is ok, Sandy Bay is lovely but Whitecross Bay is my favourite so far with Parkdean. I preferred Hafan y Mor to Lakeland, with Haven.

So as an American, I am very unfamiliar with the concept of these “holiday parks,” but I am very interested in them. Is the price 69 pounds total for the stay, or 69 per night?

Thanks for the comment, it's £69 for 4 night's. Here in the uk we have quite a few of these holiday parks along the coast lines owned by various different chains of companies. They were / used to be a fairly inexpensive way to take the family away for a week. Quite a lot of these camps date back to the 50's and 60's but fortunately most of those have been update a lot since then. Hope this helps explain it a little 👍

I thought the idea of a holiday was to temporarily stay in I nicer environment than the one you live in. As a child I couldn't understand why I was being taken to a place where everything was smaller, less adequate and you have to empty your own feces 😢 thought i was missing something, now I'm an adult i see my parents were the ones missing something 😭🫂

If you think that caravan park is big then try Devon Cliffs 😉 nah I love Haven parks, bigger the better so I can keep my 4 kids occupied. We always stay in a 12ft wide caravan as there's much more space. These 10ft ones wouldn't be ideal for me and the little ones 😂🤦🏻‍♀️
