I like that most of the mechanical trinkets are related to the meat and potatoes of boating. The stabilizer is really nice, as is the automatic plank. The roof is probably a relatively minor refurbish for someone who can afford this boat. As long as the electronics are in good shape, it's a steal compared to brand new.

Thanks Nick great video. You’ve covered my two favourites in the last few weeks. The v48 and the f49 are superb boats for their size. Fantastic quality and use of space. Now I’ve just got to decide which one to go for!
@MattiasHongK2 жыл бұрын
Go for the F50/F49 - The engine room small head space in the V48/V50 makes it very difficult for a normal sized person to service the starboard engines and équipement. Also very difficult to empty strainers for sea cocks. I owned a V50 for 18 months and am switching to an F50. The V50 is incredible boat if you are of small stature and are able to navigate below the tender garage without any issue - unfortunately that was not my situation!

After a hard day at play, a well deserved bit of sophistication awaits below decks. A proper galley and dedicated dining table - the place to share wild tales or a movie before retiring to first class yachting accommodations - at opposite ends of the boat. FUN - and dreams are FREE

I would have to ask a question about the water tightness of The sliding roof . When you were looking around the helm, the floor was wet around the fire extinguisher and water stains around the IPS control. Water ingress is a big destroyer of boats generally and modern electronics do not do so well with water. Hope the vendor rectifies this and other cosmetic problems that showed up. It is a very expensive boat to have to adopt problems that can be seen. Definitely a survey before a purchase would be recommended.
@nothingsurprisesmeanymore3 жыл бұрын
Even the sides of the cabin with the speakers in has a new wavy effect going on, the last owner has probably left the roof open whilst off down the pub. This type of boat is definitely not for the UK climate as there's only about 2 months a year you can use it. If I had over 600k for a 4 year old boat I would want 50+ft and a flybridge.
@Dobermanator3 жыл бұрын
When the roof was opened there was some water which had pooled in the very front and at a levelled point on the sides. If you look closely you can see the water spill / drip off the leading edge and splash over the one side. The various instruments would have to be IP64 water resistant or better. If there is significant water ingress / damage it would be readily noticeable and we did not see enough to make that determination. Best way is to go see for yourself and that's what they want. Besides you are not going to purchase this without an Engineers report.

A Few Thoughts: It occurs to me... After literally hundreds of videos, you still tour a boat in simple enough terms where novice Aquaholics can have reason to get 'hooked' (see what I did there?) You sell each and every craft by simply 'not selling it'...! Buyers will be savvy enough to know hat they like and what they don't. It's the things most land lubbers wouldn't have a clue about that you bring to light... I've watched every other yacht tour 'regular' and NONE of them are in your league Nick. Not one... Thank you for the entertaining education you afford those of us who've never had the slightest interest in yachting in the past. Me... New life goals...! All in all, a beautiful vessel... For the exact opposite reason of some of your viewers, I also am not a fan of the 'open'. Most aren't fond of it because of the exposure during the colder months. For me - it's the summers that are virtually unbearable on the water here in Florida...! There'd be no way of enjoying this boat on a July day here. You'd bloody well MELT sitting at the helm OR as a guest in the cockpit... A proper door, backed up by effective A/C, is the ONLY way to float when you're dropping this kinda coin on a luxury item, key word being luxury. I'll be damned if I want to pay that much to be both miserable, AND worn out by a single day out pleasure-crafting the coast...! I'll go diving... sea-bobbing... fishing... whatever - out in the sun and surf. And then..... Into the air conditioned cockpit for a quick rinse, a cocktail, and the helm...! (With a shrimp cocktail) Speaking of cocktail... For a sub 50 - she's incredibly well equipped, but not my cup of tea... Another perfect tour Nick... Cheers mate!

Great channel Nick, Maybe this should be for a Q and A. I have a number of questions. I am from a seafaring background but I would like to know your thoughts on stability in heavy weather, what sea state would you be comfortable with, in a yacht of this size. If your yacht was located in the UK and you wished to travel to Spain or into the Mediterranean for a few months during the summer, what would be the minimum realistic size (range etc for four people) to make that journey.......... I have seen many yachts of smaller size transported by road, what would be the length you would have to sail it there...(appreciate beam and seaworthiness) Keep up the great channel👍

Im a big fan of this size express cruiser, but I don't understand why have a tender garage that can't fit a large tender and takes away from the engine room a lot. Id rather just use the swim platform and hold the tender. It already is hydraulic.
@ATH_Berkshire3 жыл бұрын
This boat is set up to carry both a tender and a jet ski or some other combination of tenders and big water toys. My guess is that the builders believe most owners will go out for a run then spend most of the day playing in the water and want lots of toys. Engine and in fact all maintenance is probably going to be done professionally almost all first owners. It’s a boat to have fun on and for others to curse the more difficult access.
@AQUAHOLIC3 жыл бұрын
Precisely as Tim says - sportscruisers tend to be more 'fun' orientated so people want more options for skis and fast RIBs. I've also heard of people who run with the tender on the platform in the summer and fill the garage up with paddleboards, bikes, scuba gear or whatever. Then in the winter the toys come off and the tender goes into the garage to protect it (bear in mind that they can cost £20-30K)
@blewyd3 жыл бұрын
@@ATH_Berkshire I understand. Didn't think of the jetski and tender combination because here in the hudson river, I would never want to jetski.
