In the UK your big 4-wheel drive forklift is known as a tele-handler. Short for telescopic handling. Snorkel is a well-known brand mainly due to their supplying fire services around the UK.

That is snorkel telehandler . Snorkel got into the forklift game recently . Don Ahern is the current owner of snorkel and xtreme manufacturing . He used to own Ahern rentals till they sold to united rentals . You should check out the all electric telehandler forklift when you go back to the snorkel plant . It’s pretty neat

when i hauled lowbed, we crossed the chains on anything with pneumatic tires. It causes the tires to compress, and it rides significantly better.

Good day Dan and Bailey, I would get pissed when they said reload and then expected you to haul for a cheaper rate because it was going towards the house, I would say it's the same as taking a load out, why would i do it cheaper? That's called a Telehandler. A telescopic forklift. You can also get a bucket and other attachments to swap out the forks.

Loaded there in the 90s when I worked for the Hood boys at T&L. Believe they brokered it off Mercer. I about leased to them after T&L went out. I heard you commenting about your losses last couple months. I was leased to companies for years and we got our own authority 3 years ago. But in the atmosphere we find ourselves in that percentage I was paying seems like alot now. By getting direct customers and keeping brokers to a minimum diversifying with a couple different types of trailers I don't know if I could go back to leasing. I realize you're the face of Mercer but I had a friend that was their face. And I know he moved on when eld came around there. Sometimes we have to do what is best for our business. And to be honest I think you're with one of the best. I've been owner op since 95 started out here in 87. You seem more professional than I and it seemed odd to hear you share that. Keep up the great content. I know you didn't ask for that hope I didn't overstep.

That's what they call a telehandler. I've seen those used to either lift things to top houses or to reach into the back of a trailer close to 3:45 of the way in and drag pallets out how does a 35 years as a professional driver I've seen all sorts of things that have been put into or onto trailers I've had tanks flatbeds dry Vans reefer vans

Question for you Dan, it looks like you are pulling essentially sideways on the j hooks, do they have stops in the tracks to keep from sliding sideways or is that just friction holding them in place?

Hi Dan, great vid as always. those interstates are that bad??? I wouldn't' run them any more, state routes, bypasses, are the only way to go. Guess its the only way they , the repair shops can be guaranteed repairs. All the money the states are getting in tax dollars and they just keep on stealing the funds for the highways.
