Good presentation. However, the wattage ratings of panels were obtained under standard test conditions (STC), which include a cell temperature of 25 degrees Celsius, a particular mass airflow and 1000 watts per square metre of direct (perpendicular ) sunlight. In other words, it is challenging to replicate these conditions in the real world. Hence, under ideal conditions (panels facing south at the location latitude and a sunny but cool day), one can get 70-80% of the rating depending on the panel's efficiency. So, a 6kwp system might produce between 4.2 and 4.8kw on a good day during peak sunhours, usually between 11am and 3pm in Nigeria. Occasionally, the production might momentarily spike above these values. Understanding this concept and explaining it to potential owners is essential so they don't later accuse you if they don't see 6 kw being produced from their panels.

Good explanation. The mass airflow is at 1.5. My 180W X6 panels facing south at my roof in Kano have recorded a peak of 627W around 12 noon on Friday 1st March 2024. The charge controller is Epever Tracer series. That was impressive generation.

I came to this page all the way from tiktok, can you please drop a video on how to connect the input and output of AC current in an inverter to the load of the building.
@japhetyusuf30199 ай бұрын
Connecting the batteries in series to produce 48v seems more logical. Good video.
@dadakayode55174 ай бұрын
You are right too but that series connection will be determined by the DC voltage of your inverter. you can not power a 24v inverter with 48v battery in this situation the inverter is 24v while each battery is 24v, there has to be correlation between the inverter voltage rating and battery voltage rating irrespective of the kind of battery bank you are designing.

If you had expected 60 to 70 amp from your PV input then how come the charge controller is giving output of 90-100amp. And then if you meant the PV input that came from the solar array is now 90-100 amp would it not affect the charge controller over time been that its equipped with 100 amp max.

@chuksnwaobasi93869 ай бұрын
Great content. In this setup, how long can the batteries carry the full load of the house. I often see these videos that state all appliances in the home can work simultaneously but no mention is ever made about how long this lasts. One would hope for a system that carries the building's normal load all night and then some, to accomodate for a cloudy day when batteries may struggle to recharge. Would you comment on this please
@Mairigaemmanuel9 ай бұрын
The hours the battery will deliver depends on the amount of energy consumption. For this very installation in the video and the amount of load we suggested, takes them about 30-35hrs
