Hi Hiram, Don't sell yourself short. Your explanations of technical issues are perfectly clear, worthy of any classroom setting. I really appreciate when you show the hydraulic drawings and explain functions. On another subject have you ever done vacuum checking of valve bodies and do you think it is necessary? Damn, this was a good video, but I'm going to have to do a little more research on my own on hydraulic schematics to get a full understanding , but these videos definitely do help out, I really do appreciate you taking to time to upload these videos

The line pressure acting on the end of the valve is the balance signal. Without it, the valve would not regulate. You are correct that the Transgo valve relocates the balance feed to the hollow portion of the valve as the longer land on the end of the valve blocks the original balance feed.

The instructions for this now state install the new RED spring along with the original BUMPER spring. It says that in his instructions but it appears he failed to install it.

All your videos are good, but I definitely like the direction these last couple of videos are going with the use of the oil schematic. This one especially since it takes the use of the oil schematic a step further by using it to identify worm tracks within the pump. Since this video deals with the subject of worn valves and bores, I'm wondering what your opinion of Wet Air Testing is. Is it something worth doing on a regular basis, or is one better off simply sticking to visual inspection of valves, like you demonstrated here?

Also, I thought that the fluid filter acted like the pic-up tube. No filter and no oil circulating through the transmission. I think I read that somewhere.

Tengo un honda civic 2002 estoy rebulding la transmisión y una válvula q va en la bomba de aceite q lleva un resorte grueso esa válvula quiero meterla pero no se mueve no se si es q esta pegada o la empuja la misma presión de aceite xq yo creo q esa es la reguladora de presión y quiero poner la carcasa de la transmisión y no cierra queda 1 centímetro abierta y no se si golpearla xq intente hacerla llegar con los tornillos no llega o no se si sera q alguna de las varillas esta mal ubicada

I'm working on a 2003 Honda Odyssey trans and I'm having trouble with clearance on the 3,4,5. Installed new clutches and plates. only got .010 to.015. Same thickness plates were used as the stock plates. any suggestions would be appreciated.

I had my 6l80 rebuilt and it sounds like a low power steering pump now took it back they said it was normal I think it's a pump problem.
