I'm Abigl 6ARC Fan. I bought a Larue 6ARC upper 1 year ago. It's 16" the accuracy is amazing. I have health conditi9n that makes me a little unsteady. I'm 1.75 MOA With it. My friend shot 3 3shot groups. I used Hornady's 4dof and he shot .56 MOA when we avg them. 2 were @100 the other group was @ 200yds

The ARC shoots well with the longer, leaner, high BC bullets very well, as Hornady intended. The only quirk I see is the fast twist barrel, 1-7.25 shoots the lighter grain .243 bullets only good enough for minute of varmint. I have not tried anything less than 80 grain bullets, (have other rifle calibers for those).

Found your videos about 6.5 Grendel and 6mm ARC. Very informative, especially velocity comparison for various loads and barrel lengths. I'm keen to build an AR-15 upper for one of these cartridges. I live in Poland, and the European market does not offer many barrels for either of the two. For 6.5 Grendel, I can choose between Faxon and Brownells OEM (Satern / Liberty). The 6mm ARC is even more modest - a 16" CMMG is the only option. I could order a bbl and a reamer, but that would drive the cost 2-3x. Given your experience - which of these two cartridges would you prefer for wild boar hunting? And what barrel length? I'm leaning towards 6.5G, with a 20" tube, but happy to hear about other options from an experienced hunter.

Hornady did a great job with the ARC. Now if they can catch up on ammo, components and lowered prices, the ARC will become the top AR-15 compatible cartridge.

Yes, 2 inches high makes my range to 240 yards to be 3 inches low. So no point of aim adjustment is necessary for a hunting solution.

Hello, and welcome to my channel. The 6.5x47 Lapua is very popular in the USA. The 6mm ARC is a Hornady creation in 2020. It is primarily intended for use in a semi auto, but now, many companies are making bolt action rifles chambered for the 6mm ARC.

@@davestrohmeyer-saddleupsho8009 Thank you for Welcome ! I must switch to 6.5-284 because they (Schultz& Larsen) have the 6.5x47 Barrels no longer in produce. Perhaps i find a used 6.5x47 in the future. The market in Europe for the 6mm ARC is very limited, because Boltaction-Rifle are mostly used from hunters and allowed. Keep up your great work! Dave, have a question for you. Are you using a two stage trigger and if so what brand is it? I've just used the 90gr. ELD-X in hand loads this last week for deer season and took 3 deer with it so far. longest shot was 307 yards and all with 1 shot kills. The furthest one got was 5 yards, other two dropped where they stood. The other question is who is your bench made by? Thanks for the great info, makes it easy for us older guys to understand. lol
