Grabbed some of these bullets last week, so I searched some videos on them and found this. Went out earlier and shot several groups out of my 6mm creedmoor with IMR4350. Max published charge gave me a 5 shot group of just over .30” with an average velocity of 3313, with an ES of 20 and SD of 9. Would have liked a better ES and SD, but 3300 FPS is smoking! No pressure signs at all. Didn’t plan on hunting with this rifle, but I found these bullets, and I think I may take it to the stand.

Yea, Hornady's LeverEvaluation is phenomenal. I used it in my Gran-grans Model-8 in .30 Remington using 2.2cc's under a Sierra Pro-Hunter 150 and got just over 2520 feet per second. And gods is it accurate, all groups right at, or under 1"-MOA at 100 yards. What really makes this a great powder is that even with this velocity in a rifle that original 170 grain flat noses were pushing it to get to 2100 fps. The actual pressures are lower 34,000 vs. 37,000, what's not to love about that.

I, too, prefer a passthrough. I recall when I was working up my load at the range and a fellow ranger-goer suggested that I use my Sierra Matchking loads to go hunting, since they were more accurate. I looked at him like he was stupid, but he looked at me like I was stupid. It was a stupid-off; I am still looking forward to how the Nosler Ballistic Tips are going to perform.

So I've been watching your channel for a little over two years now. I love all the different testing and experiments you've done on all these different rifles and calibers. The one thing that has bothered me for the longest time is why you have never done a Satterlee ladder test? Your method of optimal charge weight testing, in my opinion, seems to be quite haphazard. You've got some seriously nice testing equipment these days and I would love to see some videos of you working up a load with the Satterlee method. Personally I start every load with a Satterlee to find a optimal velocity node, and then tighten up the grouping with small seating depth adjustments. Anyways, love the channel and keep up the good work!

The idea with the 6ARC was to improve the range and energy of an AR without increasing the weight of the gun to a 10lb AR-15. The ARC doubles the AR .556 energy and gives it a third More range. The .243 you have, in an AR would weigh 10-12 lbs since it’s based on the 308 brass and would be in an AR 15 platform...jus’ sayin’. ,

More likely the bullet tip came off. Reduce the BC to what it would be without the tip and see if it corresponds to the really slow impact velocity at 100yds, as well as the rate of velocity loss. Could be induced by magazine-feeding in a high cyclic rate action, especially with a longer COL.

I have been shooting a 6mmAR for a little over 10 years. And yes its the same one as the ARC. I have found that single loading like for match style shooting improves greatly. Your best group was the first charge of leverevolution. Less vertical dispersion than any of the others. It’s not always about how tiny tiny you can make your group. At distance the first charge will shoot better. Also. If you’re .020 from the lands the FURTHER you get away the less pressure you’re going to have. Loading longer gives you less of a head start when you’re already that close which is going to raise pressure....

*OR, you could use the 12.5" 300 HAM'r.... with 110 grain 125 graoin 130 grain, 135 grain, or 150 grain 30 caliber bullets. IT IS DIFFICULT TO MAKE SPEED with a short 'small bore' barrel. Going from .264 to .308 or, in Metric numbers... 6.50mm to 7.62mm will allow you 'more internal barrel volume area for burning powder'...even when the length is the same. Consider 300 Ham'R....16", 18" or 12.5" YOUR 12.5" 300 Ham'r should give SAME SPEED AND EFFECT AS A 16" 7,62x39 AK-CARBINE. Some Ivory "taken without permission" has come from Elephants killed with 7.62x39 14.5" AK-CARBINES... & 300 Ham'r 12.5" should work 'with equal effectiveness' to the well known AK. Same weight bullet at same speed. kzbin.info/www/bejne/ep-bnpRriJtljrs kzbin.info/www/bejne/jpe7o3atbtqApMk kzbin.info/www/bejne/r3zWqZxpobaVq9k *

Haven’t really grouped the 12” Odin works barrel too much but I’m pretty impressed with your Odin works arc barrel and my 12” Grendel so I think that’s what ima go with but think ima get the 16” cuz it’s going to be pretty much a designated hunting rifle
