Chumps are in such a weird balance spot, like they don’t make a bad weapon good by being on there, but they make an already good weapon amazing. The better you already are, the more Chumps help you.

Two little thoughts I have about the sub/special balancing: 1. I agree that mist shouldn't be good, but it should be at least okay. It shouldn't be a death-sentence for anything stuck with it. I think potential fixes would be increasing the radius, so it's able to control a wider area than simply throwing a bomb, and lowering the ink cost to 40%, but making it so that throwing out a third mist will get rid of the first one, like how mines work. Weapons should be able to use double mist to lock down space, while still having plenty of ink to fight. 2. Everyone wants vacuum to end early, like how stamp can be thrown away just to get back your main weapon. I think it would be more interesting to go the other direction, and stop vac from filling up early. I think the protection is a more interesting aspect of the special than the return explosion, but it sucks right now because there's a limit to how much fire it can stop. Edit: I also think Vac would be cool if it continuously painted your feet while you walk, so you can move freely.

They should just make Toxic Mist paint the floor in its radius, like a burst bomb. That way, opponents will be stuck in ink AND slowed down if theyre hit directly by the mist, making it much harder to escape. Of course, this should come with a 10% increase in ink cost to compensate. But the idea is to take it from feeling weak and useless to actually being powerful and threatening.

Putiing Vanilla bucket on X on accident was based. I used the weapon for the FIRST time on X. Carried me from 1500 to 2100+ clam blitz . That weapon should be canceled. Better results with that than the 52

How did you play bucket during the games? Its a really hard weapon and the fact you did that well for the first time is impressive.

@@r1tesh Well I use tri slosh and machine frequent so vanilla bucket is kind of a mixture of both of those playstyles since bucket is mobile enough to play frontline like tri and has similar range as machine so it can take tge same positions. Splat bomb + shooting around cover is your best bet to killing any shooter/dualie/roller which were my worst matchups before V bucket

i absolutely love vmini as well, as it's EXTREMELY fun to play, burst is its perfect sub weapon, and its paint can output so many damn specials, it's just that hammer is absolutely dookie right now, and the fact that with this midrange meta, literally everything that you see *will* outrange it. and even if you want an aggro splatling, naut outclasses it entirely, and hedit once it has its cooler active can be scary as hell. so many things bully mini from being able to get into a fight, and it just gets overshadowed, which is a shame

vjet having worst sub and special yet still making it to c tier is weird to think about. also i think gloogas are higher, they are very close to 52 imo: gloogas have just slightly worse paint, a bit worse mobility, but more range and better kits. i think if someone really pushed gloogas they could be very threatening and fit into lots of comps. they really arent that slow compared to other weapons like blasters and brellas, i think people overstate that weakness

How different would this list be if it was all ranked instead of pure zones? Like, would things like Snipewriter be worse on modes like Clam Blitz? Would Splashdown be better on something like Tower Control? Would Beacon be better or worse on Rainmaker? I doubt it’d look that different but I’m curious how the meta weapons of Zones differ from All Modes meta weapons.

1:09:39 this has been my argument for why jet is a bad special for nautilus for like three years, am i mistaken? obviously naut has seen incredible success, but i believe it would be better with a passive special because of how broken the main weapon is, and so the current naut 47 kit is (i find) really damn good, the sub locates for cheap, and the special is passive and has area denial.
