@@NoHalfAss No not yet. I'll be buying it as a weekend warrior as I just purchased a trailer so not looking to drop $45k-$70k but something more reasonable. It definitely won't be my daily like yours as I have other cars for that on my 90 miles commute. Lol. Appreciate you breaking down the cost of owning one that helped a lot but like I said it a weekender and I'll barely put 3k on it a year. Stay safe.
@NoHalfAss5 жыл бұрын
Rxonmymind daaaaang bro 90 miles?!? Lol that’s a big commute. Once I get a chopper like I mentioned at the end of the video I’ll probably ride it to work a lot more than my truck, at least during summer. Lol That’ll help me save $$$ for more mods for the 7.3 too🔥

I know this is an old thread. I just bought a set of these stabilizers and cant wait to install them on my 2002 7.3 4x4 Superduty. FYI when you pulled the nut from the passenger side and said its just a nut with a washer on it and not a locking nut is not true. That is actually a better lock nut than the nylock you installed. Look around on your truck and you will see that style nut everywhere. They work great and do not where out like a nylock will. This is why the factory uses them especially on suspension parts. I just thought you would like to know. Good video and keep up the good work.

Hey brother, nice video. I wanted to pass on some info on that kit you installed. I have a 97 F350 7.5, I ordered a dual steering stabilizer kit that is supposed to be for my year truck, it had a u-bolt that was supposed to mount around the frame and connects a bracket to it. That kit was in no way gonna work no matter what I tried. While I’m under the truck looking at what I think could work, I thought to myself I think I could make some type of brackets to mount to the leaf spring u-bolts and figure out the rest. Started researching and came across your video, seen the kit you had and bingo, that kit looks exactly like what I had in mind. It took awhile before I could install since I was doing a couple other projects to it, but just installed it and it works perfect on my 97 OBS 350. I hope this will help some of your viewers if they want to install that Rough Country kit on a OBS. I just upgraded a lot on front end of my truck, went from 35’s to 37’s and a 4 inch lift just enough to clear the 37’s, and this kit just topped it off . FYI , When I ordered , I think I put in 2001 F350 to pull up that kit .Thanks again

@80HD Projects I am sure you probably have nicer tools than I do - and hopefully it doesn’t open Pandora’s box with tool critics - but for weekend wrenching I have always saved at harbor freight - even their earthquake series I know a few mechanics that use both their batterie power and pnuematic earthquake impacts - I have one as well 1/2 inch for my truck holy man that thing will take anything off - just lube the bolts a bit because it’s so strong I have broken one - just a suggestion 🙂 you can buy probably 3/8 ratchet and 1/2 inch in both batterie and pneumatic (4 total) for the price of one snap on

Looks great I tried putting the rubber boots on didn't really look that good cuz anytime the wheel was turned a little to the left or right they just looked sloppy definitely don't recommend. But if you look real closely at the seal where the shaft goes in there's a little compression spring to hold the seal I put a little grease on there because I I think that it is just mild steel spring and it might rust due to all the water and dubree so just put a little group of Grease around that seal where the spring is or even a rubber grommet to cover the spring if you look at it you'll see what I'm talking about I'm just extra cautious about things like that you'll feel the same way once you see it plus I did the little mini gussets and strengthened the plates a little bit but yes they do help and they do look pretty cool manly Cody

I have a 2002 Ford F250 and cannot find a way to lock down the 3 C bolts/ U Bolts in the middle plate of the installation. The short ratchet is too short on the 14mm the Deepwell is too long and forces my hand in a place where I cannot even get 1 click rounded for the ratchet to move. Do you have any advice how I can get those 6 nuts driven down to tighten on the steering bar. Strange the Excursion and F250 nearly the same machine. Spent hours trying to get this done just for the 6 nuts. Got the install complete in record time otherwise. Any thoughts on how I might get the job done. Please let me know if you can. Thank you for a great video.
