Demeo is great fun, but the visuals are very poor and pixelated. When you zoom in it looks much nicer, but they need to improve those visuals

Demo is great and has a mixed reality pass through mode but the table doesn’t lock to a table in real life so you can walk around the physical table. It also doesn’t sync between multiple headsets to have 4 people in the same room use the same table to play as if the table is there for all 4 players which is what I wish they had.

Oh I absolutely agree that would be incredible!

I can't wait until my surreal touch controllers arrive so I can dive into steam VR on my AVP. The base station set up is just too expensive >.< (switch controllers are too laggy).

It all sounds fun, but games on AVP is dumb, you feel literally nothing. Grabing on air. What they need is controls... Also Demeo is one of the best games I have ever played on the Quest

demeo is available on mixed reality on quest loll

The APV definitely has amazing hand tracking, but realistically developers need to incorporate Sony’s amazing PS5 controller into an immersive environment, if anything add some extra gestures while using the controller. Nobody wants reimagined $4K Nintendo Wii
@nickname2446Ай бұрын
Andru you wished Demo would be truly immersive having the ability to play it on an actual existing table verses a limited to a window type of play. I had to laugh because millions of Quest users have been playing Demeo this way for years. The more I learn about the Visipn Pro the more I discover its limitations. Buy a Quest and enjoy true Mixed Reality experiences.

I mean that's adorable and all, but at 4000$, i feel like a looooooooot better could've done in terms of gaming. Specially considering there's a full computer inside that thing! 😂😂

We need Yu-Gi-Oh!
@ExoticTheGameАй бұрын
We're actually making a trading card game similar to YuGiOh that will also run on VR. The game is called "Exotic". Still extremely early in development (we're currently building the foundation with physical cards), but remember the name because we're gonna start prototyping the game on Apple Vision Pro as soon as next year!

11 seconds in and you’ve got your Like. I’ve been a bit down about the dearth of positive commentary about the AVP and the sly statements scoffing at the idea that it’s worth having …or is owned by anyone. All that’s just to thank you for posting sometime positive. Hopefully, I’ll dig the games. But I appreciate it either way.

I think it’s just popular to hate on anything Apple, and also something that you’ve never owned or tried. Way more difficult to actually be analytical. I love Vision Pro and use it almost daily, and there’s a lot to like IMO!

When people say that Vision Pro doesn't play games, what they mean is that it doesn't have steam. As a VR early adopter who got the HTC vive back in 2016 and now also have an index, I already own Demeo and beat saber and a kart racing game etc etc. The problem with AVP is that it is the most expensive way you can possibly do VR and yet has the least things you can do with it. Not having steam on the there is an absolute slap in the face to every single VR early adopter, and the only thing preventing it from being able to access my already existing vr game library is Apples hubris. Sometimes, I need a controller for more complex inputs, which is why the index controller is more functional than hand tracking alone could ever be. Hand tracking is cool, but it's an issue when it's the only option. The latency is also higher with hand tracking than it is with a controller, which is also a major problem when playing games. Apples proprietary everything and blocking you from doing most things while charging 2-3x as much for the privilege of being handcuffed to their app store is the reason why people hate the AVP.

@@AtLeastTryALittle interesting take. But not everyone was deep into VR before the AVP. Maybe many of the pundits were, which might explain some of their attitude. I don’t see VR and immediately think of gaming which requires controllers. I don’t even think of gaming. I use my AVP daily and don’t miss anything you’ve mentioned. So, my take is that the things you mention might be great for those that are so married to that use case that they won’t even consider a headset without them. It may be a bias that Apple cannot afford to ignore…but it is definitely a bias.

@@Andru I am glad to hear that you love it and use it daily! I have a Quest 3 for VR gaming but am seriously considering an AVP for productivity and tie-in to the ecosystem. I did the demo and was floored by the clarity of the graphics and think it would work better for those applications. Do you think it is worth having both?
@AtLeastTryALittle2 ай бұрын
@@westmcgee9320 the AVP has both the power and capability to do more than it does. I'm of the mindset that OS softwares job is to enhance the capabilities of hardware and, as much as possible, avoid limiting those capabilities. Linux is a high learning curve but unlimited freedom. Microsoft and Android have a usable balance. Apple completely restricts any sense of ownership, freedom, and flexibility of how to use their devices. It's not just gaming. AVP is "pay more to do less," and that's a software choice Apple made, not something that was a result of hardware limitations. Look up some of the reviews of the iPad Pro with the M4, which has the exact same category of problem as the AVP, and you will see what I mean. If I could dual boot an AVP with a different OS, use a controller when I want it, and do PC passthrough for extra power when needed, then AVP would be the most revolutionary device on the market.

I’m rooting for the Apple Vision Pro to be a successful but not at the current price, maybe the second generation will be cheaper and more desirable, I hear it may have an Apple M5 chip, which means it’s release could be many years away, unfortunately
@Andru2 ай бұрын
Should be the second half of 2025 from what I’m hearing, but that will be the follow-up to Vision Pro. I wonder if Apple will be dropping the price on the Pro line, or waiting to do that with a non-Pro variant!
@wilty52 ай бұрын
Considering the innovation that Meta is demonstrating in this space, Apple will definitely need to lower the price point.
