I like using the foam roller too especially on my back. I had been using it on my hamstrings too but recently found out i have a lipoma on my thigh which is pretty deep so i stopped. An ortho doc referred me to a surgeon to have it removed. I'm wondering how long after surgery should i get back to using the roller on that area after the site heals? Thanks.

Great videos overall! 👏👏👏 Are there any techniques to use the foam roller on lower extremities with less use of upper body? Supporting the body with my arms while rolling hurts the neck and shoulders. I thought holding onto something would help, but have no further explanation of how to. A video would help. Thank you!

I agree, but you get stronger. I limited my time on the rollers until I built up strength to support my upper body. You don't need another video for that probably.

april martinez I appreciate your feedback. I was able to do it in the past but I have disc degenerative disease in my neck and upper back which prevents me from functioning properly on top of painful muscles and joints. Unfortunately, any strain causes inability to function for days and sometimes weeks.

New subscriber. Do you have anything on femeroal nerve pain. Only on one side only down to outerside of knee. Walking has become limted to less than 12mins before pain in lower back and tightness front pelvic area. I'm 58yrs old slight arthritis is pelvic area. Very stiff if I sit for a while. Please point me in the right direction. Thanks so much Guys. PS I like you both no matter what everyone else said.

Bob & Brad ik you dont reply but im giving it a try anyway,so i have a cold burning feeling in my hip looks like s2 or s3 and runs down the right outer thigh,i also have numbness from my knee down but i do feel pain but its more like a tight sock up to my knee feeling,also effecting my foot with tingling and shock feelings in my foot,also sensitive skin near my groing right side,just any idea from anyone would help,its been like 2 months now, thank anyone who answers.

I recently got diagnosed with Morton's Neuroma....had the same pain. It gets worse from here. Get into PT when you can. I pull and tug on my feet 3x a day now and will have to for life probably. That's why I'm a fan of B&B here.

I suffer through rolling some body parts. Just stay on it. The beginning is the worst to me. Relief is awesome here.

It hurts me the most on my right outer thigh when I roll, so I can relate. It's still my "soft" spot I'd say. I baby it, but it still benefits. I guess complete pain will not subside everywhere. I've been rolling for years.

It may be that your foam roller is too dense. Try a softer/less firm one if possible.
