I was so happy to find this video. Thank you so much for all of the great and biblical information! I was wondering if you could do a follow up discussion though on what spaking from a Christian perspective should actually look like. I definitely believe in spaking, but I think it’s important in today’s age to distinguish between abuse and discipline and even for many Christians I think there hasn’t been firm teaching on this. I know Scripture calls us to use spankingwith our kids, but what does that actually look like for a Christian? I know some people use a belt/spoon/paddle/hairbrush and some people believe it should be over their knee so that you don’t accidentally hit them someplace else while they’re running around. Do you think spaking should be over the knee? Is there a correct way to give a spaking? Keep posting videos, love your content!!

Thank you so much for sharing the valuable tips with us. I have a question. I have a 8 month old baby girl and she always want to be held. Some people from my church tell me that giving too much attention and love to my child is taking away my focus from God. Can this be true? Should I not give love and attention to my child as she demands for it? Does this makes God sad? Am I putting my child before God?
@TheCuttingEdgeTV4 жыл бұрын
Hi Suneha! You are very welcome! And the question you have is a very good question. You SHOULD give your love and attention to your child, especially at 8 months old, that’s what a parent is for and that is a very vulnerable age still. Just keep in mind, however, to be balanced and not to spoil your child. I am still trying to find balance with my children. If they need to be changed or fed or if they are hurt in some way then they definitely need our attention. But as my kids are getting older and if they throw a tantrum just because they do not get what they want (not what they need) I will firmly say “No or Not now”. Pray to God that He will you find that balance. I hope this helps. Blessings to you and your family!

Praying for you! I hope I did not mislead you in this video and have you think I am for "beating" our children. I do not endorse "beating" or "abuse". There are times we do have to discipline our children but there is definitely a line we do not cross. I know it is tough raising kids especially in these times. But pray that the Lord will give you wisdom on how to handle your 8 year old son. Blessings to you and your family!

I don't remember Jesus spanking any one in order to help them learn from their ways. He disciplined with his words. We can do the same. We must not mix worldly views with spiritual ones. Jesus did not stone the sinner he spoke to her and disciplined her and sent her on her way with words of wisdom. This is my only critism of a what I think is a good video. Keep doing what your doing.

You mean to say, Jesus would spank the kids in the presence of their parents? That would be taking the responsibility He gave to parents.

Isaiah: Come garher together, and try to understand, survivors among the nations; They are but fools they who, they who follow idols of wood and pray to gods that cannot move - let them present their arguments take counsel together and tell me: who announced this from the beginning, who foretold it in the distant past? Is it not me Yahweh? There is no other God beside me a Savior, a God of justice, there is no other one but me. Turn to me and be saved, all you from the ends of the earth, for i am God and there is no other. By my own self i swear it, and what comes from my mouth is truth, a word i say will not be revoked, before me every knee wil bend, by me every tongue will swear, saying, "In Yahweh alone are righteousness and strength. All who have raged against him will come to him in shame. But through Yahweh there will be victory and glory to the people of Israel

Proverbs: The wiman of character, where is she to be found? She is more precious than any jewel. Her husband has complete confidence in her; she will be of great benefit to him.She brings him only good ans not evil, all the days of her life. She has obtained wool and flax and works them with skilful hands. She is like the merchant ships which brings provisions from afar. She gets up while it is still dark, feeds her household and allots tasks to the servants. If she sets her heart on a field, she buys it and plants a vineyard with her own hands. She is full of energy and her arms show her strength. She knows her work is successful and, at night her light remains unextinquished. She puts her hand to the distaff and her fingers hold the spindle. She reaches out her hand to the helpless and gives to the poor
