I ordered a Bighorn propane broiler and can't wait to try it out. Sous vide or smoke steaks and then blast them at up to 1500 degrees. YES!

Those things are awesome! I almost got my hands on one of the Schwank grills, but it didn’t work out. that super high heat is definitely better position to be above the meat.

@@TheAmericanSmoke The Schwank broilers are stupid expensive! I haven't used my propane grill for years since I've gotten into smokers during the pandemic lockdown. I DO use the grill just as a place to use my FunOwlet torch to sear meat but that setup is less than ideal.

1- The side steak, that’s for searing steaks, not cooking them. 2- Turn on majority of the burners and get it hot. 3- CLOSE THE LID. YOU’RE LETTING ALL THE HEAT OUT. No heat= lot longer to cook. And last but not least #4, let that grill get hot first and then cook those steaks and you won’t have to use the sear burner. TRUST ME. Those steaks should take 2 minutes each grill mark, that’s 4 minutes tops on each side.
