That shower head is expensive, then if you have more than one person using it, you’ll be replacing filter’s more often. If it’s in your budget, go for it, but not in our’s. I use a clarifying shampoo every 1-2 weeks, to get the mineral build up out. I use the OUAI Detox Shampoo, and it works well. There are less expensive brands, but only using it 2-4 times a month. It doesn’t strip my salon color, and my hair looks and feels healthy.

My hair is so grateful to you Chris ❤️ You've been such a blessing to my hair after I lost lots of it while going through harsh autoimmune health issues last year. It lost its volume and life! If hard water is what you're trying to fix, you either need a whole house water softener or a WaterStick. Both options are pricey but they do what they say they do. The downside of the WaterStick is that you have to replenish the salt reservoir really often, possibly once a week or even more often if you have many people using shower every day. It doesn't take long to replenish but it can get annoying after awhile. For chlorine, a KDF 55 filter is what you need. You want a filter that contains 100% KDF 55. The multi-stage filters contain so little of each filter that they aren't really effective at filtering anything. Chlorine is one of the worst offenders for drying out hair and skin so going with a filter that is designed specifically for that is ideal. You can do both the KDF and the WaterStick and it's actually recommended to prolong the WaterStick's lifespan because chlorine can damage it over time.

The information about the hair supplements reminded me about a study that showed high doses of biotin can cause false negative results when diagnosing a heart attack. In general it's just not a good idea to start any supplement without talking to your doctor first. Taking more of a vitamin or mineral when you already have normal levels may not be beneficial and may even cause more problems. My understanding is that biotin really only helps your hair if you already have a deficiency. A simple blood test could check for this. You can request it when you're going for your annual physical.

It is good for your hair & skin, but for me, it makes my hair so soft that I can’t style it. To solve this, I need to rinse my hair in cold water to get the soft water out of it. Seems counterintuitive, but it works. Cold seals your hair cuticle, and makes it shiny too.

Chris, I don’t know if you’ll ever see this but if you do I will be so happy. I have struggled with my hair and scalp my whole life. The last 2 years especially have been AWFUL. Oily, irritated, flaky, itchy and so dry when washing (even with “gentle” shampoos) that I could feel it almost tingle because it was so dry. It “tingled” so much it felt like lice (it was not). I finally bought the products based on your recommendation and although I have only just used the shampoo once and the technique you recommend, my scalp feels so good I could cry. Please people, listen to him. Keep the receipt. If it doesn’t work after a week, return the product!! No money wasted.

*Hard Water Filter* . I have a Sprite shower filter, purchased from Lowes. My water is very hard, lot's of iron, and lime. I do feel it's been beneficial for my skin and hair. When I need to do a re-fresh on my wavy hair, I only use distilled water to re-activate product. In my previous home, I had a whole house water softener. I never had skin or hair fall issues. That being said, I was 20 years younger. After menopause, my hair was super dull and the fall out was disturbing. Switch products and the shower filter was a game changer for me.

Shower head filters are amazing. I live in an area with extremely hard water - it probably doesn't help that there was a lot of mining here. Went to Yellowstone in 2019 and stayed a few hours away in an Idaho Falls AirBNB. My hair always looks horrible on vacation, but my hair LOVED the water - it was the best it had looked in probably 5 years. When I got home I bought the same filter that was on that shower head. Been doing much better since.

I got the headbands with velcro about 2 years ago first because I was struggling with the baby hair getting wet and product getting into them every time. I have super blonde hair, and washing away foundation without getting it into the baby hair was a struggle. This thing not only keeps hair mostly dry and out of the way, it also helps to minimize product getting in the hairline and messing the white hair because it pulls back quite a bit. HIGHLY recommend. Another life-changer: get wrist bands. Has nothing to do with hair, but is life-changing!

Except i use a mesh thing, i got it at a local beauty supply store. It did take me a lot of practice to learn to wrap it around my head and it doesn't keep the volume at the roots, if that's important to you. The scalp brush I find to get a more thorough scrub in less time. I do a normal finger scrub for a bit, and then I go in with the brush. I know it makes a difference coz the back of my scalp was much more itchy and with brushing my hair and getting that spot I felt like a dog kicking it's leg lol. After I started adding the scrub brush that basically went away and scalp is less itchy. I think it just does a better job at getting off the dry skin and exfoliates it a bit.

First of all, thank you for all of your videos. I've learn a lot. As someone who works in environmental laboratory in completely different part of the world I have to comment. Water filters can be useful - in cases when your water is really bad. It's the role of water treatment stations to "give" you the good quality water (according to the law or any kind of local rules). Parameters of water can be different, but water in your tap should be suitable for drinking. Because of that your water shouldn't have heavy metals (at least not on high and dangerous levels). According to the producer, this filter removes heavy metals, chloride and "other contaminations". The last phrase is not very precise to be honest... and it's not very professional. But you my dear Professor have also made a mistake. You have shown 16 in 1 test from Amazon, and you have made the test of water hardness... - only one parameter. Producer do not mention that their product is the water softener (at least I didn't find the information that this is the main role of this product). Also those stripes are good...but for aquarium... Their precision is not very high. In general - if your water is not "bad" you don't need this. In my country each water station publish parameters of water according to the lab analyses. Try to check it. Sorry for mistakes...

My mother would wrap my hair in paper (yes, just rolled up sheets of paper) overnight for my school pictures and I had beautiful ringlets! I was about 8 years old--I was so incredibly happy with my princess curls and have the picture to prove it. 😊

Your videos are amazing! You could truly sell sand in a desert! Since last night I’ve already bought upon your recommendation: a silk bonnet, a hair dryer, a shampoo, a conditioner, two hair masks, a terry cloth shower cap, a velcro head band, a leave in conditioner, oh and the olaplex 3. I think I should stop before I go broke!! 😂😊

I love heartless curls. It's the only way to keep a curl in my hair. It'll last days. My favorite is still using a plush bathrobe belt. The satin ones like he showed here just don't stay in my hair overnight.

Hi Chris, I have been using plastic-free solid shampoo bars and conditioner bars for a few years now. Could you make a video on your opinion about shampoo bars and conditioner bars?

I just took the water filter yesterday because, after 5 months of use, I didn't see ANY difference with my hair. :/ I still thought that, perhaps, it was just that I hadn't noticed it, but now that I see your video... 😅🙈 I'm happy to not be the only one that thinks that it doesn't work.

My hair is in better condition since I stopped coloring and using hairspray and hot tools. All I do is wask it once a week and let it air dry. I use a widetooth wooden paddle brush for wet hair taking small sections and working out the tangles from the bottom, let air dry, then brush Upside down with boar's bristol brush, style with my fingers and brush. Bam! Perfect hair every time. Mine is straight, fine and mid Back. All you need is a good cut and accept what you have.

Hi Chris! I really love that you mentioned the heatless curls - I still don't have a 'proper brand' so I always use my bathrobebelt. And as you said it takes practices! But now I'm able to do them reall nicely, which took me less time to master than to do my curls with an iron. Also as I have super super super fine and thin and completely straight hair I normally wear it straight for 1-2 days and then I like some curls for my 'messy' hair as it would be too slippery for curls to hold anyways right after washing. As I'm really trying to stick to your tips I'm not using heat for at least 3 days so these heatless curls are a perfect way for me to change the look without using heat. But tbh I'm the only one of my friends that's able to pull this look with this method so I guess it's not for everyone 😅

My stylist insisted I get one of those thick-tooth scalp-cleaning wet brushes. I have mixed feelings. It does give my fingers a break while shampooing with a sulfate free shampoo...but I think I just need to get the shampoo you recommend with sulfates which will make getting my hair clean much easier without the green scalp brush.

I use the heatless curls, it works....but on wavy long hair, perfectly. I have that. But not sure how it will hold for others. The tool for scalp, works, but more for relaxing, having a migraine that stuff helps a lot, I have no strength to use my fingers then, but this helps, scalp, head, and neck, not sure if it works for other stuff, but for relaxing and getting rid of that headache , get it. just be careful if you have long and thick hair you can and will make knots if you do not section hair, be careful.

I love your videos, but I have to disagree agree with the heatless curls! I Love them and it’s super fast. I have damaged bleached hair with extensions down to my waist… I zigzag part hair in the back bring it to the front give it a light light mist of water, starting at the bangs wrap it, I wrap the rest of it and it’s done! in the morning: I have beautiful perfect curls every time.! Soooo easy!! And these curls last me almost 5 days!! 🙌🏼🎉✨💃

Your Trinity +Olaplex 3 just enabled me to go without cutting hair for over 5 M now and I already see I can reach the dream of having THE Long Hair 😃🤘Aand my formerly dry hair is getting compliments now. 💃🏻I have never learned from tutorials sth that enforceable in life . I wish you started some makeup and skincare as well, all seems super complicated in other channels and I only need such Trinities not a warehouse of chemicals ❤️😀 Sending kindest wishes from Tbilisi, Georgia 🫶
