This is the best way to deliver golf tips. Get to the point from the get go!! SOOOOO many golf tip videos are filled with too much talk, too much theories, too much time to get to the point. I subscribed right away. Keep em coming. I appreciate your style and information. Quick and to the point! Thank you!

Really appreciate the sub - I def made that mistake in my older videos but now I’m straight to the point like I do with my podcast episodes - 280 of those if you need more tips to play better without swing changes 👍thanks for the support

Great advice on going for the flag, I went at the flag at every hole yesterday and paid for it by spending the round in bunkers.

Thank you! I definitely made that mistake way too often for years (if not decades). Now I just follow the DECADE approach and anticipate shot dispersion

Set my PXG 0800X Gen 4 with project X Cypher 50 gram Shaft Driver set at 12 Degrees and just Smash it High and Long and can still hit it Low when I want too!Mostly where I’m Looking .Took Side spin out !

Good work! Having the right clubs is key 👍👍

Trying to shape driver is definitely a bad idea. I have a knockdown driver shot that I play instead of 3w. Biggest driver issues I see on course are too long shafts, too light swing weight and too small grip.

I like the teed down driver myself sometimes. Lotta guys love the mini driver, I haven’t had a chance to hit it yet

I think the reason coaches (and your uncle) say this is to teach golfers to weigh options. 200 yards could be one shot or 100 + 100 or 150 and 50 etc. Finding the ideal layup spot requires course knowledge and knowledge of your skills/bag.
@wickedsmartgolfАй бұрын
Yeah, it was pretty common advice back in the day before we had all the data. Like I said it makes sense in theory, but the numbers now show otherwise. I appreciate you watching!

@@danielcorrigan6998 really appreciate that! Got a lot of great content coming out - my podcast has nearly 300 episodes on Spotify and Apple if you need more too. Thanks for the suppot

I think the data says 150 + 50 is better than 100 + 100 in that scenario. So then the key is to work on your 30 - 70 yd shots. I do agree that lob wedge is very high risk and golfers should learn to hit 30 - 70 yd with Gap or PW or a bump and run 8.

3 wood and driver are totally weird for me. They go almost the same distance. On day where 3W goes straight driver goes right. When driver goes straighter, my 3 wood tops. Still work in progress. 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
@wickedsmartgolfАй бұрын
Keep at it! Have you done a fitting?
@LaLaLand11111221Ай бұрын
@@wickedsmartgolf no i didnt. I didnt fit irons either but they are ok. Woods might be more sensitive. Thanks for pointer.
@Snowman9KАй бұрын
But how much tighter are the tee shots when people are choosing 3 wood? It’s not apples to apples.
@wickedsmartgolfАй бұрын
Not sure they have that data as it varies so much course dependent. And why I recommend every player track their own stats to learn more about their game.
