Great video! Do you mind saying how much the cost was for your 7-day road trip? Thank you!
@Jilody1322 күн бұрын
Also is this a manual car or automatic? Thanks again!
@SuitcaseMonkey22 күн бұрын
Hey. It was €690pp. The jeep was manual. You can request auto but it isn’t guaranteed. I wanted auto thinking it would be easier but it didn’t make much difference since it’s a fairly flat country with such open roads so was an easy drive either way.
@SuitcaseMonkey20 күн бұрын
@@Jilody13 Hey. It was manual. They can't guarantee auto but I did ask for that. But it turned out the roads were so easy, it wasn't an issue.

I visited Iceland a few years ago, in February/March when the country was cloaked in snow. It was a small group tour and was one of the most amazing overseas holidays I have ever experienced. Thanks to Suitcase Monkey for this very entertaining video that included many of the locations I visited. I’d highly recommend Iceland as a travel destination, and add on a coastal cruise of Norway while you’re in that part of the world.

This brings back memories. We did an almost similar roadtrip and can't agree more: Iceland is a must see place. The landscape keeps surprising you. Food is expensive but also of high quality, even in remote, small villages. Thank you for these lovely images.

@SuitcaseMonkey24 күн бұрын
Hey. For 2024 it was €690pp. 2025 bookings are opening next month, I believe on the 14th but I’m not sure if the price is the same. If you go to nordicnomads.org/en/iceland/ you can register to be notified which should have the lowest price. They are only just launching their packages to English speaking countries so the English side of the site should be fully live on that date too. In the meantime you can change the language to French on the site above and let your browser auto translate everything as it has much more info at the moment as they’ve been operating there for years.

There was one night when we were on the north coast which is the windier side and on a cliff edge by the sea and it was very gusty. They suggested we park in a particular direction to help and although it was a little noisy at times, it didn’t feel like we were going to fly away or anything. Lol
