I've been feeling sick for the past couple of days and from day one I knew it meant I should slow down. Today I finally took a day off at work, just one, made myself a tasty lunch, a big mug of herb tea, and now that I watched this video, I decided to call my grandma (which I've been putting off for months). I'm already feeling so much better ❤️ Thank you Sadia, you are like a loving, caring friend to all of us. Like a wise sister that reminds us, as gently as possible, what's good for us.. and tells us exactly what we need to hear when we need to hear it. Please keep doing what you're doing, the world needs kind souls like you ❤️

Sadia, this couldn’t come at a better time. I just began learning about the Sabbath. Though I’m not Seventh Day Adventist nor Jewish, I wanted to learn about this practice and how I can incorporate this tradition/law into my own life. I forced myself to pick one day a week where I would do nothing but rest and worship. I prepare my meal prepping and cleaning the house the day before, and then running any errands the days prior, if possible. On sabbath, I enjoy my food slowly (if I’ve meal prepped it) or enjoy cooking it slowly as you’ve done in this video. I worship by meditating, reading, painting, and listening. I keep my phone and TV off. Instead of watching TV, I’ve been writing my own little stories that I have daydreamt while trying to extend my sleep-in session a bit further. It’s been so lovely. This day of rest and worship has been so rewarding, relaxing, and fulfilling. I feel like a different person the rest of the week and I would encourage others to try it, too! It was during this time I also finished up “The Alchemist” :) Thank you so much for these videos. Each time you upload, I sit down with coffee or tea and enjoy the video on my couch with my dog or husband. Your videos have a way of making me feel so relaxed and inspired to make practical changes in my own life. Thank you ❤️ and feel better soon!

Hi Sadia, I hope you feel better soon! What a beautiful message on a busy Monday! I am a PhD student and constantly feeling out of time and energy. I always felt I don't have time to exercise. I used to have cup of coffee when tired but felt awful afterward. Until I did a 7-day exercise challenge for myself last December. I find myself more energetic than ever. Now I really take my time to go to the gym instead of sipping coffee. And it works wonders! Nowadays it is hard for me to skip workout since I either bike to school or go to the gym every day. Taking time for myself to exercise is my kind of "slow living". And it helps live a more efficient life.

Hi Sadia! Firstly, hope you're feeling better and recovering from your cold. Secondly, The Alchemist is absolutely my favorite book! Thank you for posting such a great reminder on the importance of slowing down. My stomach has been uneasy the last 2 days, which I attribute greatly to the stress from taking on way too much and trying to do so too quickly. Taking deep square breaths and being mindful certainly has helped, so thank you for making this video. As always, hope you continue to get better and l look forward to the next video. Hello, Sadia. Hope you recover fully soon. I was down with the flu the past weeks and it was indeed a test of patience to simply sit it out--rest, sleep, eat, and repeat. You're a gift to the world, Sadia. Your videos are this comforting mix of old and new information, mixed with inner peace and always with a new, gentler approach. Thank you. I'm on the journey on being my best self and living my most wholesome, best life. I have gigantic dreams and these days I was met with a lot of harsh criticism ("you shouldnt even start" "you wont make it") and I felt really overwhelmed and really sad. This is not something I could just change, these dreams...they are me. This criticism made me feel like, it's not okay to be me, its not possible being happy and successfull being me. That was yesterday and today I listened to a podcast by brendon burchard and he said something along the lines off, that he wishes we would double down on doing good, on contributing. My dreams all revolve around contributing and being on of the many voices for positivity, in my case positivity after sexual abuse and trauma. I got severely abused for about 10 years, I am 24 now and I am happier, more fulfilled than many I know. It's possible and I want to be a voice for that. You gave me inspiration for a crucial part of my life, again, my overall inner peace and wellness. Again thank you so much!
