Valeria Loja I know. He wrote the song with Elise in mind thinking she would learn it. He made the piece for somebody who doesn’t play piano, then he made the second part to be a dick. That piece isn’t hard at all, it was made extremely easy on purpose, and it isn’t impressive in the slightest. Every pianist hates that song, only beginners think it’s hard.
@Trollestiatumblur4 жыл бұрын
Valeria Loja Correction: I shouldnt say hate. I hate the song, other pianists agree that it is over played and we want to smash our head into a wall when s beginner says “i CaN pLaY” And plays Fur Elise, the first few notes, right hand only (with both hands omfg) in hopes of impressing a musician. The song is beautiful but it’s like eating your favorite food to the point where even the memory of it makes you sick.

My mum encouraged me to play in groups, an orchestra and ensembles but never actually turned up to any of my shows when i was in secondary and sixth form - not even when i was concertmaster or a senior student soloist. I even offered to buy the tickets and get her really good seats and everything but she never turned up. I was always that one kid who waited after the concert to be picked up after everyone else had gone home with their parents who had been watching them play. My tutor and one of the art teachers ended up watching me play Handel’s ‘Messiah’ in the local abbey and managed to get reserved seats for one of the school concerts where i had 2 solos because they knew my mum wasn’t coming and it was super sad but also super sweet.

When your mom is the musician mom and correct your, “mistakes,” but when you go to class and the teacher says it’s wrong: 👁👄👁
@sianaDIAX4 жыл бұрын
What's difficult in that case is that your mom may be correct and the teacher wrong. My brother had that, one time. Our dear piano teacher moved and we had to find another one. We hadn't any luck with the new one we found : she played favorites and my brother wasn't one. She told him to play Chopin like a metronome for the exam. Our mother told him : "Don't". He didn't and instead put feelings in his play. The teacher sabotaged his result because he didn't do as he was told, then told him "Savour your result". Next year, we changed both for a new teacher and never had any problem anymore.

My mum is an ex-professional cellist who is basically one of those people who just 'gets it'. Not prodigy level, but I'd wager she wasn't that far off. It's great because she got me into playing violin early, but also hell because now I'm a bit older she's essentially sucked the joy out of playing around her. I can't practice in the house anymore unless she's out or teaching because it stresses me out so much. I'll admit it's really affected my practicing (I practice in school when I can i.e. not often) and she basically thinks I've stopped playing and so constantly brings it up. It ain't fun because I do genuinely love playing the violin and music in general, but she doesn't understand I can't 'get it' immediately at the same speed or in the same capacity that she could/can.
@Nashleyism2 жыл бұрын
Have you tried telling her that? That you love music but can't practice around her because it's too stressful and that you are not her? Also you can try explaining that every human being learns through making mistakes, mistakes are part of learning process.

I'd sing with my dad at home(non classical. Just wanted it to be pretty) and he would always find something wrong and asked to repeat so i would practise too long, forcing myself to sound like someone from the youtube clip that he likes. My throat started closing in front of him in my teen years and i can't sing before him since then. I also have an anxiety about singing generally becouse of this. I love singing and i sing in tune but it sounds coarse and i guess not as plesant. I hope that people woldn't be so mean to others. We don't have to be all the opera singer or violin prodigy at the age of 9.

Aditya Shah As a pianist, Fur Elise is so overplayed, I actually hate the sone now. It sucks because I used to really enjoy it but ever since I learned it, I couldn’t stand it anymore. Not only that, it’s the piece beginners or people who barely even knows anything about a piano plays, usually terribly wrong. and if they do play it right then it doesn’t mean much because that song is a beginner song. But people think it’s impressive to play when it’s the opposite. I hated it more when people used it as a piece to “impress” people, because that song is MADE for Elise to learn and she doesn’t play. He made it extremely easy and simple on purpose. You want to impress people? Play Moonlight Sonata 3rd Movement or Chopin.
