All these projects are awesome ... simple to build and very powerful. I would love to know how you write these programs using the same hardware. I know you use Mozzi but how do develop an idea and write it in an Arduino code...... would be a very interesting KZbin video for all of us. Thanks for all you are doing for us all.

Aussie Tip: I'm use ARD2 nanos from a place called Wiltronics in Ballarat, VIC. Anyway, they cost $12 (cheap for here) if you don't want to wait for international postage

Hey guys, I'm not sure if I understand the behaviour of the software correctly, is it true, that the screen is only updated when there's a clock present at the clock input? I just put a small setup togehter on breadboard with only the Arduino Nano, an encoder and the display. At first I could see the screen, nothing moving but the encoder and it's button didn't do anything. Then I poked 5V to the clock input with a jumper wire, the dots moved and the cursor suddenly jumped to another position, then at every manual 'clock pulse' the position dots advanced and the encoder moves but not when there's no pulse. I find it a bit difficult to move around the menu when I have to pay attention to the clock pulses when turning the encoder to not miss/skip the menu item I want to edit next. Otherwise, great and fun project, easy to setup, thx very much HAGIWO! 🙃🖤 EDIT: OK, sorry, just managed to translate the page with Chrome (was using Firefox before) and the description clearly says that the OLED only updates at clock pulse so nevermind. 😉

Amazing! I've just breadboarded it for my synth, works like a charm, except, the encoder. For some reason, it jumps when I scroll. In the other 6ch seq, the very same breadboard works without a single problem...

I have the same problem, when I turn the encoder the mode selection cursor jumps too quickly, plus I have the switch which is on the encoder so when I try to select with the switch the cursor jumps to another mode at the same time, it remains complicated to select correctly, a solution?

@@analogart5251I’ve checked the other 6 step sequencer code and just modified the this code according to that - easy fix, just check the encoder part of it!

Your modules are amazing. I would like to know where you connect the 12v to the Arduino. Also is the 12v coming directly from your modular synth +12v rail? Thank you.

Yes, you can use it by applying 12V to the Vin of the arduino. It works even if 5V is applied to 5Vpin. It is not recommended to connect 12V and 5V at the same time.

Could there be a way to have a switch to change from Euclidean to the gated step type sequencer?

I haven't tried it, but I think it would be difficult to switch, because the Arduino doesn't have enough processing power.

Cool! And very nice with the geometric visualization. I'm pretty bad with arduinos but am I right that this could be build with an uno instead of the nano? (Have a stack of Unos but no working nanos 😉)

Also, do you know if 1N5819 Schottky diodes instead of BAT43? Again mostly due to availability

Yes , it works with uno. 1N5819 is not recommended.Schottky barrier diodes are recommended to protect the arduino.

Thank you very much for your answer 🙂 I see the 1n5819 listed as a schottky barrier diodes just rated at 40V, 1A rather than the 30V, 0.3A of the BAT43. It was just that I couldn't locate the specification that you have noted in the schematics on the datasheet of the 1n5819, so I thought I might as well ask 🙂 Great to hear with the Uno. I'll give it a try

Great project! but i have the problem that does not respond to encoder...tried building it three different times, with different arduinos and different encoders...those same boards and encoders work in other of your projects like df player example... any help?

The process reflects the operation of the encoder when an external CLK input is received.Try inputting CLK signal.
