In my old town I was told to always take the packages the second they arrive to avoid this. It's like for safety always lock your doors, always take the packages, do not wait too long, because thieves are so common it's sad and also dangerous.

I've had that break!!! I felt her pain (although, karma being what it is - play stupid games; win stupid prizes). Trying to emulate my big brother and older cousins, I jumped off my aunt's porch, didn't see the rock, landed with foot going one direction, leg the opposite and ankle said "screw this" and disintegrated. First and only broken bone...that was 52 years ago and I still remember every moment!

Gun Guru, I,m not familiar with all the laws in New York, but he's guilty of illegal use of fireworks, risking a catastrophy, destruction of property during the commission of a crime (I'm not sure if ilegal possession of fireworks is a misdemeanor or a felony. The seriousness will only effect the level of punishment.) In this case, and here I'm entirely speculating, that in this case he appeared to be aiming the rocket into the window, therefore the charge. And after looking it up, according to Statute 150.15 NY State law the maximum punishment is 1 yr. Imprisonment, as a misdomeanor.

I was technically guilty of escape. I was in the detention centre denied bail and awaiting court. But still allowed visits. So my name gets called (for visiting) as another guys name is called (he made bail and was being released). Outside the cells in a long secured hallway a different cop sent me to the elevator and sent the guy to the visitation area. At the bottom of the elevator ride is only the checkout/intake window. Cop that works the window hands me a paper bag (the guys belongings) and a piece of paper (release conditions), I see the guys name and sign. And that easy I was released! 10 months later when I get arrested they are threatening to charge with the escape, but once my lawyer explains that it may not be in the jails best interests to let it be known how incompetent the jail was in releasing a violent criminal, those charges went away. *BTW - the guy? After sitting at a table in the visiting room for 15 minutes looking confused, a guard approached him and said something. The guard then looked around and seeing my mom sitting there at a table with no one to visit, all hell broke loose! Apparently the entire building went on lockdown. Or so mom told me after being mad as heck that they held her for an hour trying to sort it out. But she was laughing by time she finished telling.

I had a friend that was in lockup and saw a guy that literally just pushed a button and spoke the release code for the door and was able to escape from there. Small town jail and I guess they don't have locked doors past the cell block. My city however is not that easy, it's one of the most oppressive jails in the country from what I have heard.

I’m Belgian and we had a crazy story here too a couple of years ago. Some criminals went into a newskiosk / shop to rob him, the owner told them the register was empty as it was too early in the day and that they should come back around 6pm, so they left. He called the cops, told them what happened and asked them to be there at 6pm, the cops hesitated as nobody would be that dumb, but they did send cops as you never know… and at 6pm, cops where hiding in the back and yup… they came back. Stupidity is something so wonderful sometimes.

The guy dived head first out of a second storey window......no hesitation, no looking at what could be below it, that is some pretty confident "parkour" skill, obviously he somersaults, but the confidence of the dive is singularly outstanding, he didn't exactly have a lot of time or distance to adjust his posture so it must have been a muscle memory thing where he just automatically flipped through the motion, anyone without at least some experience of using their bodies in freestyle movement, would be falling with their legs flailing and cuffed hands not doing much.

Even dust in an enclosed space like a grain silo can cause a large explosion if there's enough buildup and something happens to spark it. Once that happened the soil caved in on it and closed up any open space and gases a fire would need to burn.

Dad did this back in the 80s but it was for ground bees that seemed invincible. First he poured waste oil down the hole. They survived. He then poured gasoline in. When he saw them coming out of an adjacent hole days later, he doused them with gasoline again and then tossed a lit cherry bomb and it indeed blew up a hole in the yard. After no bees were spotted, us kids had to patch up the crater and replant some grass. It was quite spectacular though. 💥

@@vmm5163 if it is illegal to use fireworks and they are cause for it, then yes it is arsen. Those kind of firework can't be used between houses in a tiny driveway, not pointed into any direction except air. So it is stupidity combined with using illegal stuff into fire. Whole lines of houses could be inflicted. Plus he had bunch more inside which set of when fire start. Fireworks when set on fire can cause explosive fires if there are enough of them or different type combined and some types of such fire are hard to stop, coz it is basically some amount of dynamite in them. In my country fireworks were not illegal till this year. So people used a long many also the type which cause hole in ground when set off. We had kids loosing eyes, nose, fists, adults with 3rd degree burns, fires of houses in lines, trees etc. This was not accident, just morons who used something completely wrong and luckily their own house payed the price..

Thanks to the guy with the roach problem. I just installed an in-ground pool for almost half the cost because i didn't need to pay an excavator. I just drilled holes with a small drill auger for planting bulbs and then lit the hole and boom.. Worked great! Thanks for the advice FactFaction!
