We enjoy melting the Andes candies in a pyrex pie plate (flat and shallow). Pour in pretzels and stir gently. The stirring will coat the pretzels, no need to dip individually. Spread coated pretzels on waxed paper in a single layer. Allow to dry. Break apart. Enjoy!

Mel, I make the thin mints with ritz crackers but I melt chocolate almond bark, add a few drops of mint extract and dip. They are very good, much less expensive and you don’t have to unwrap all the candy.

I do the same thing. It HAS to be peppermint extract...not just "mint"...otherwise it tastes like spearmint toothpaste.

Merry Christmas Mel!! I know I don't comment much, only watch every video faithfully, but I had to thank you for these easy sweet treats that this old disabled girl will be able to make her family. I haven't been able to do much for 12 years, especially not standing up cooking and my sons have missed it. I can do these!! Tears are in my eyes, I'm so excited! Again I can't thank you enough. We don't have much, but you have given us a cheap sweets and mama can make them!! My boys are going to be so surprised. I just know you are going to realize how important and special this is! @@christinekoester2050 A fellow Michigander, a "Yooper" + how wonderful & an "Esky" no less! I wonder how many times u used snowmobiles to go to town after big storms? I think the snow can get deep but not like Copper Harbor area or Hancock in the Keeweenaw Area. It's been years since I went to the UP, & maybe this year I'll have to! It can get bitter cold where ur from but there's always layers upon layers to snuggle up with. My people are Norwegian & German so cold, & fish are kinda our thing. I finally found a supplier of Blue Gill fish since there's so many restrictions on fishing now - they get them & fly them in from Nantucket of all places! It is so good and you can tweak it as you like: more cinnamon, allspice, or even tea mix with lemon in it to forego the lemonade mix. It is the perfect pick-me-up on cold days all winter long.
