Hi friends it's been a beautiful Sunday. We had our candlelight service at church tonight and it was just beautiful. As always I have a link to my church in the description box if you would like to go and enjoy the candlelight service, too. What wonderful things did you get into today?

I had to work but next weekend I will have three days off and I can’t wait 😜 Plus I get a bonus day off early in the week. I am so excited for some time away from work. I love my job, but I am tired. Plus I need to wrap my grandson’s gifts and I need to get some cooking done ahead of the weekend. Sausage balls are a favorite around here. I feed guys so I can’t make a single batch, they just wouldn’t last. I never thought to freeze them before I cook them. That’s a game changer for me. Thanks for sharing 💕💕 everything looked yummy! Blessings to you sweet friend Merry Christmas 💕

Donna enjoy your time off, I am off work til after the New Year and I am so ready. I won't get paid, but that's OK, we budget for it and I love to be off this time of year. And yes girl, freeze you a bunch of sausage balls. I can't imagine feeding more than one guy, my husband could eat the whole batch if I didn't watch him 😂 Thanks for watching and have a blessed week friend ❤

Ah Kim this is so sweet, thank you for this kind comment. We do a huge Thanksgiving dinner and for Christmas we do "finger food" AKA snacks & appetizers for Christmas Eve and then we do breakfast on Christmas day too. Then we eat all the leftovers for a couple days LOL I am so happy that you like these, they are all easy - everything I make is LOL Hope they are a hit and you and your family have a very Merry Christmas
@donnagribbins17632 жыл бұрын
We always do snacks and appetizer things for Christmas Eve. We also Bake a ham and then somebody does sliders or something. I bought 5 small pieces of prime rib marked down the day after Xmas for $3.59 a lb. I get several every year and use them for Holiday and special occasion dinners all year. I have 1 piece left that's about 3 lbs so I am going to cook it and take buns and a horseradish sauce to Moms Xmas eve this year. We do a big pot luck for about 30 people. So this year with the ham we are going to do thinly sliced prime rib too. We also look all year for appetizers recipes to take. We have our standard ones that we have made for years but like to add a few new ones each year.

For the sausage balls I have always mixed the cheese and biscuit mix together and then put in the sausage in small clumps and mix by hand until incorporated and it forms a ball. However, now that I am on the way elder side my hands don't do so well so I use the stand mixer with the paddle attachment. It is OK but the hand mixing I think is better if you're able. Thanks for sharing those delicious other recipes especially the mixture on the toast. If you cant find the cocktail bread anymore (i haven't seen it either) may you could buy a loaf of rye bread or the rye and pumpernickel swirl and cut them in 4 pieces. I'll bet the family wouldn't mind a bit if they weren't little squares. 😀 Have a Blessed day.

Yum, my favorite and it's one of the easiest to make. Merry Christmas to you and your family Treena! I appreciate you so much 🥰
I just subscribed, I really want to try your homemade party chex nut mix, it looked like it tastes great! I love your southern calming voice and how easy these recipes are I can't wait to cook some this Christmas!

I’ve never had any luck with sausage balls & no one in our families make them but I may give this recipe a shot. As for the CPR recipe 🤣 I make those (only a few small differences) & the recipe I use is called Brown Betties. I’ve heard them called lots of different things.

I had a hard time with them until I cut the baking mix down from 3 to 2 cups, then they were so much better. And I can't believe all the funny names I've read here for the name of our Infant CPR LOL. Hope you all have a very Merry Christmas!
