You said you couldn't believe people watch your hour long videos. It's everything, your sense of humor and goofiness as well as your family and their involvement. For someone like me who has no friends or family near me or alive for that matter... it's just nice to see a happy family that loves each other and has a fun time together. HEY! I just thought of something, I haven't heard you sing for a LONG time and as I remember you have a Beautiful Voice! I think you should sing us a song. LOL Seriously! I remember you even singing happy birthday to folks in the lives, but I haven't caught a live for a while.

If you squish up your parchment paper into a ball then straighten it out, it will fit into your pan much better

I have a great idea for melting chocolate. I learned this after MAAANY YEARS. I use my 1.5qt. mini crock pot for melting chocolate. Works like a charm!

Thank you for sharing your recipes with the world. However, I was wondering if there is a natural alternative to cool whip. I actually want to be around in 25 more years, so that unfortunately takes processed store stuff off the menu. I also love the lessons I learn about using a clean bowl every time. I have seen what happens when chocolate bowls get reused. I just shared the name of your channel with the internet tech I was just on the phone with. I lost you right in the middle of the recipe and had to call them. I love your recipes and I am sure she will to.❤😊

Hello! If you need a substitution for cool whip in something that can be refrigerated you of course can use stabilized whipped cream, coconut cream, whipped tofu, whipped sour cream, etc. The problem is, those aren't shelf stable for candies like the ones in her recipes that sit at room temp. But, the only thing cool whip is doing in these candy recipes is "lightening" the batters so they won't be so dense. One thing you could use to lighten it in place of cool whip that is room temperature stable is a whipped meringue made with meringue powder, water and extract. A whipped meringue made with meringue powder would lighten the batter and be stable at room temp just like whipped meringue buttercream made with meringue powder is. But you would have to gently fold the whipped meringue powder once whipped into the chocolate batter in 3 batches to keep from losing the air in it, just like when folding meringue into a cake recipe. You could also use marshmallow fluff, but that is also processed, however you could make your own marshmallow fluff.

I think Ghirardelli vs. Nestle depends on what you grew up with. I grew up with Ghirardelli & think Nestle doesn't taste as good. It's like See's vs. Whitman's vs Russel Stovers. My mom preferred Russel Stovers saying it had more butter and See's had more sugar ....dunno. I grew up preferring less sugar in my candy and baked goods. But I could see where people would prefer more sugar. And Cool Whip rocks.

I don’t know the reason for it, but the whole generalized mode these days is a far cry from the niceties of yesteryear. It’s a darned shame, if you ask me. 😕 👍🏼 I remember!

I think negative people just need to get something to eat. I get ouchy if I need to eat. I don't feel hunger as others do. --itching, sad, moody, tired is my signal that I am hungry. Sounds ridiculous, but that's how it works for me. I 've said numerous times,my late husband would have shoved women and children down to the floor just to get to the food when he was hungry.
