Great tips. Years ago I painted the inside of my wardrobe primrose yellow and created a mood board on the inside of one door which I update regularly. It is surprising but creating a nice space makes a difference to how you view your clothes.

Sheryl here from New Zealand here. We're going from summer/autumn to winter here but a lot of your tips apply both ways. Like you, I tend to wear a lot of black in winter but I bought some pretty floral blouses last winter to try not to be too "black". Tried to move a way from black but wax unsuccessful so I think your approach of trying to have more navy in summer will be the best going forward.

Hi I live in Australia so our weather is Autumn therefore going through my Summer clothes has been my clearing clutter. Unfortunately social/events were still not quite back to prior Covid (and the effect of the rise in cost of living)over our last Spring /Summer so I have not been as ruthless as in the past when decluttering my clothes.

I have always hated swapping my clothes over, so this year I have decided to really reduce my wardrobe and keep out everything I need to get me through a whole year. Reckon I can do it with about 40 pieces. What do you think? What would you choose? I’d love a video on this!

I’m so ready to get my winter clothes out of my closet. And I’m hoping when I do the weather doesn’t bite me in the behind. I’m going to leave a few sweatshirts in my closet just in case. I leave all my boots and shoes in my closet. I don’t really have anywhere else to put them. I just take up some of my husband’s part for my shoes. When it does finally get warm I only wear sandals. I have bought some new t shirts. Most of mine are from Buc-ee’s. Which I wear around the house. But I needed some to wear out in public. I lead a very casual life. So just some solid color shirts, no graphics. I do need to find somewhere to put my winter coats. Right now, they hang on the back of my bedroom door. I’m going to clean out the guest room closet. And hang them in there. The Goodwill is going to love me.
