I would like to hear your thoughts (or findings) on wearing a slip or not on one of your "style mistakes" or "things than elegant women do" type videos. I come from a time when women wore slips (except in the case of a lined dress or skirt). Personally, I find it unsightly to see through a woman's skirt or dress when the sun or bright window is behind her. I don't find that elegant at all. I enjoy your videos and find many of your tips to be "old" courtesies that are no longer observed; I am curious whether the same applies to wearing a slip.

Would love to see the back of your hairdo and maybe how you do it. I always find it a challenge to do a pony or chignon especially deciding on what will hold it all together. I find a barrette usually too juvenile. Thank you.

Personally, I guess I would gently say, hey girlfriend, life is crazy, our time together is important. I will/can wait only 30 (or whatever you choose) minutes. If you aren't there, please know I will leave, and we can reschedule. And do it! If she calls 5 minutes before the time limit- (unless it truly is an emergency excuse), feel free to say, oh, I will be gone in 5 minutes as per my conversation with you. I hope you understand. We can reschedule when your time is more settled. People who are always late are disrespectful of your time and they are disrespectful of their own time and relationships. I am one (and my mom was worse) who finds 'last minute' tasks to do. I override this compulsion (It is my fear of interactions that are the root of it) and make sure to always be a bit early or at least on time. Yes, traffic can be crazy, but knowing this it is my duty to take this into account.

Miss Universe it’s a uniform. It’s less attractive ladies hating on prettier ones to try to make fashion more white. Honestly the Elegantsaurus Rexes of the internet, none of them a striking beauty hating on the shoe makes them look jealous and inelegant. I am an haute couture designer and you don’t have to dress like a nun to be elegant. Yes I wear these shoes to galas and I am the most elegant because for gowns, they look better without you altering them to be shorter to accommodate kitten heels. Most evening gowns are designed to be worn with high heels. What happens to ladies who listen to this ignorant, no degree in fashion school stupid uneducated dressing like a nun advice is that their stilettos start killing them in half an hour and they are running barefoot in their flats. These shoes are the most elegant evening shoes because they are the most comfortable, the bigger the under platform the more comfortable. The only other options are to wear your office shoes that don’t go with the dress or shows that match the cut of the dress but you are crying in pain, or wearing flats or walking barefoot in your couture gown at a gala. Those who hate on these shoes aren’t often at galas in couture gowns. So ladies who go to galas are inelegant? Asian & Latina 4 foot ladies wearing comfortable shoes so people have to break their neck to talk to them inelegant? This is internet sheep herd Elegantsaurus Rex extremism doesn’t represent real life. TikTok is obsessed with wearing beige and thinking 90s Ralph Lauren ads is old money aesthetic. In reality old money have colour consultations which is part of couture training. Shaming people for wearing comfortable evening shoes is not elegant. So then walking barefoot crying your feet hurt at a gala because you are trying so hard to be elegant is elegant? No this is ridiculous.

I also feel that too many women wear black shoes with everything. It can ruin the most beautiful look. If you can’t afford many pairs of shoes, find a nude that matches your skin tone. Nude looks much better than black. Black only looks nice with black. Any other colors, chose nude.
