Kaitlyn, I don't know you, but I admire your attitude. Most young women have no idea how to dress or carry themselves. A tip: a woman who follows Jesus Christ is saved by His grace and confident that He loves her. This Christian woman will dress to please the Lord. Inside and out, she's a head turner. As she walks in His will, everything she needs to glorify Him will be given in abundance. To know Christ and have your sins forgiven, please read John 3:16. From an 63-year-old to an upcoming beautiful woman, may God bless you.

@@rebamoon4965 Amen! Ever since I was a child I’ve walked with Jesus. Thankfully I’ve never been too far from Him to not be able to run back. Fantastic video! Another thing to note in modern times is an elegant woman isn’t always taking selfies! To me, that is extremely tacky. Or looking in a mirror on the wall or her image on her phone and primping. Elegant women do this in private. I’ve seen this recently in the airport more than once. @karolinaska68364 ай бұрын
I appreciate cards for very special occasions (condolences for loss of loved one, wedding...) but otherwise, if it goes straight into the recycling bin, it was a waste of paper and not a good stewardship of Mother Nature. I would much rather get a text with a thank you if the gift was mailed, or a sincere thank you at the moment of receiving an in person gift. Otherwise, it just comes across as checking off savoir vivre rules instead of authentic gratitude. It seems too staged. Though I get this can be a cultural thing. It's not the norm in my culture, so that's my opinion.

@mariaalmasaniroyalhouse9214 Жыл бұрын
I think always polite is so outdated and sexist. You should not be unprovoked aggressive but nice girls finish last. This village mentality that ladies should be nice at all time doesn’t work in circles of power. I am proud to be a mean girl to enforce my boundaries but I respect other peoples’ boundaries. In the 21rst century elegant ladies have boundaries and respect others boundaries. I don’t like aggressive ladies who put others down who never said a mean word to them, who never harmed anyone- that is insecure. I find for the 21rst century respecting boundaries and her own mental health and mental health of others comes first, and given that then has manners. There is nothing inelegant in defending yourself but everything inelegant in unprovoked attacks

@@mariaalmasaniroyalhouse9214 Your very response was unprovoked and aggressive, but go on with your mean girl self. I'm sure its gotten you very far in life.
@mariaalmasaniroyalhouse9214 Жыл бұрын
@@LDM805 my response is assertive not aggressive because calling people wearing shoes that don’t destroy their feet or their evening downs and calling Asian ladies inelegant for being short and wanting to wear comfortable shoes is racist and aggressive. And where does being a nice doormat get you? PETA throws nasty shade at ladies who were fur, threw paint, were actually aggressive and got results. Being a nice doormat simply makes you a target for abuse. It’s not the 1950s where because women had no rights and were the property of men, the patriarchy and the church western ladies could afford to be extra polite because they completely outsourced violence and even assertiveness to men. Lady the 1950s are over and you are officially equal to men so you have to learn to be as disagreeable as a man if you want to keep your job and get married. You know what happens to nice girls in the secular feminist 21rst century? Men push them for free sex and they put out. If you are too nice, too polite and too agreeable in the 21rst century men think you are the town bicycle everyone rode on. If you think I am too aggressive so if I were a man and you were on a date with me and went super aggressive with negs, nice nails are they real, nice tatas are they real.. then a real woman would let a man walk her to her home, what’s wrong with you, you never had a man be a gentleman to walk you home? How can you ever get a boyfriend if you are such a prude? Listen my phone died and I am cold and it’s raining can I come upstairs? I am really tired, let’s have that bottle of wine over there & Netflix and Chill, it’s so rude to refuse me that bottle of wine. Yes my hand is in your bra, why are you such a prude, you should dye your hair the opposite colour. You know you have two grey hairs. Have another glass of wine. Stop complaining about my hands and stop being such a prude … Next day have you got bullied into bed he doesn’t call you and blocked his numbers. That is what happens to nice girls. If you think I am aggressive what do you think men think you are… I live in the 21rst century not 1950s though I am a married housewife.
@mariaalmasaniroyalhouse9214 Жыл бұрын
@@LDM805 actually I have gotten very far, to Miss Universe, worked for the Canadian parliament, CNN agent of Change, won a few awards, married, haute couture designer and dating coach and my clients get engaged to multi millionaires. Yes it’s not the 1950s anyone, nice girls finish poor and last. Scientific studies show your standard of living and how much you make in the West is directly correlated to one factor being disagreeable. Being mean takes you places but being assertive and standing up for yourself takes you far. Being nice gets you taken advantage of and is a ticket to poverty. To nice peasant village girls everyone is mean but them & they are holier than thou in their poverty. Calling me a mean girl it’s self is a form of aggression. And I wondered what promoted that? That you are jealous I got to galas and you don’t? Stop being jealous and fake nice holier than thou - we all see through this village cunning - and level up your finances so you can also afford to go to a gala in a nice dress. Then you will be thankful that are one of the few in gala appropriate shoes whose feet are not hurting

I am so guilty of the overstuffed purse! And I'm going to say that the man who said that wasn't rude. I mean, it technically WAS rude, lol. But to me it's all about who is saying it and what their intentions are, and how they said it. If he said your stuffed purse isn't elegant in front of people in a very eye rolly way, then that is rude. But if someone who knows fashion took a moment to take me aside, compliment me and tell me that I'm clearly someone who cares about fashion but wants to give me a tip on how to look flawless, and did it discretely, that is an act of kindness. He never would have bothered to tell you if you looked like a hot mess. He could see that you were elegant and classy but just that one thing needed correction. And look how long it stayed with you! And now you are passing this knowledge down to us! In a world full of fake people, I've grown to appreciate wisdom and constructive criticism from someone who just wants to help. Especially an older generation. Just another perspective on that event 😊 Great video!!!

I'm 63. I've been in a couple situations where some stranger's given me unasked for advice when I was in my 20s. It never even occurred to me they were being rude. I was just so happy to get great advice from someone I knew was trying to help and certainly knew more than I. I think the gentleman was kind and willing to take the chance that you'd be offended in hopes that you'd take it as the valuable gem it was. I guess it all depends on attitude and how to take constructive criticism, stranger or not.

I carry a large tote bag for work, inside I have a leather wristlet, large leather wallet, or clutch with my phone, small card wallet, and a lipstick which I can place my car keys if needed. If you are running out for lunch or dinner all you need is the smaller handbag. For other essentials, you can use several zip cases to hold makeup, toiletries, or small office supplies to keep your larger tote bag organized. Though I have found small kits in my desk alleviates the need to carry everything. And make sure you clean out your tote bag and clutch weekly to rid yourself of receipts, trash, dirt, extra pens, lipsticks, etc.

I find what you are saying about bags (that an elegant woman should carry only one bag at the time) very interesting! Could you, one day, go further on that subject please? How do you manage to carry only one bag when you go to work? For my part, I always carry a small handbag + a briefcase + a lunchbag. 😅
@4gma59 Жыл бұрын
As a petite woman, I usually carry a small handbag. But I need just as much gear as a tall woman. So I put a sm. handbag in a larger tote bag. When going out for lunch, I can stow the large tote under my desk, and just take the small bag. If you need a lunch bag, and it doesn't fit into your tote (or whatever you choose -- backpack, tote, whatever?) just add it to what you carry, and choose a color that matches your tote. You have to do what you have to do. Just make the best of it by coordinating so it looks cohesive. The point is not to be weighed down with so many things to carry. Keep it simple and thought out.

We are never loud. We remain contained. We wear very clean shoes. We smile and are polite.

I'm always working with my hands at home. So I like to make my own press on nails where I pay a little extra to get GOOD quality blank nails that fit right and then design them in simple styles where I can wear them when I'm out doing regular things.

When it comes to grace and elegance, Jackie Kennedy Onassis always comes to mind. I think of an interview with her. I recall she kept her hands in her lap the entire time. Not like she was uncomfortable, but just at complete ease. And, of course, she had that trademark soft feminine voice.

To avoid travelling to and from work with packed bags or multiple bags (such as diaper, work, or gym bags, etc) requires planning and relatively close proximity to your destinations. This is something that is not always feasible without the assistance of others. Speaking of others, it seemed quite gentlemanly for the well-dressed man in your story to kindly request your permission before he offered advice that you didn't know you needed. Yes, in the moment, it was probably uncomfortable, but it saved you from immeasurable embarrassment later when it probably would have counted more. It seems to me that he did you a favour. Unfortunately, I think we sometimes can put protocol, political correctness, or social etiquette above the well-being of others, and in so doing, find ourselves unkind.

I agree. The whole point of a good neighbour is to assist those in help. You do not need to be drowning to be helped; sometimes just pointed. The great intention was there... #HeWasKind
