7 Engraving Text: PathPilot Conversational

Hello! What tool did you use in your machine? How do you decide on the tool to use? Is there a standard?

I use a small 2 flute .062" diameter carbide short ball nose end mill, about .002" to .003" deep. If I did a lot of engraving, I would invest in a spindle speeder to get higher rpm for faster feed rates.

How did you create the CIM file? The Mach1 software Tormach started with had many more fonts. All the PathPilot founts look almost the same. I guess I will figure it out myself.
